There are people *starving* out there.

Telling people to help doesn't count as helping.

Armok... To be fair, a 16 year old isn't really going to concern about charity s, unless they are really good and such...
By people Armok meant himself, and by *starving* he meant "in need of blood and monies".

I've seen ads for charities. For one about 'starving' Africans, there were antelope in the background. The same animals that their ancestors hunted. Thats just lazy.

If you want to get technical, all of our ancestors probably hunted antelope at some point, given that humans originated in Africa. Anyway, on the money: Put it somewhere safe that isn't your bank (parents) or on your person (muggers) and forget about it. Then, at some point in the future, when you really want somthing, you won't have to save up (unless that somthing is expencive, in which case you'll have a good start on the saving).

Seriously, you'll inevitably waste that money if you try to force spending it on somthing.

Actually, it does. The goal is to help people, and working and convince someone to donate $X results in just as working for an employer that gives you $X that you then donate results in exactly as many $ ending up in the charity account. The goal is to actually help people remember, not incrementing a counter that says "you have donated X much money".

When your post sounds facetious, it's not exactly convincing.  So no, I wouldn't say you were helping, whatever your intent.

If you want to save the money, buy jewelry. I'm not an expert, but I'd suggest not going for gold. Aparently gold is expensive right now, but I can't see it lasting. Maybe silver instead.

Alternatively if you want to get some use out of it, perhaps you could research getting a new Processor for your computer? It's always nice to play DF a little bit faster, and $250 should set you to almost top of the line, assuming you've got a decent motherboard.

If you invest $250 at 10% now, when you are 23 it will be worth $500. Then at 30 it will be worth $1000. Then at 37 it will be worth $2000. Then at 44 it will be worth $4000. Then at 51 it will be worth $8000. Then at 58 it will be worth $16000. At 65 $32000. At 65 $64000. Think what you can do with $64000.

Make 256 threads where you will get pretty much worthless advice is what.
