Noble in love with a dwarf who does not exist
« on: April 11, 2011, 03:01:04 pm »

My Countess is "romantically involved with ***** ********" (I chose to keep him anonymous, for the sake of privacy). However, this dwarf is nowhere on my unit list (neither on the dwarf therapist).

Is it a recurrent bug?

Is he dead? Because Dwarves that are married still display that they are married even if half of the marriage is FBfood. Might be the same for lovebirds

Your countess is a necrophiliac.

Throw her into the magma pit.

No, see, there's a joke here. There's a quote attributed to some French queen (Mary Antoinette?), who responded to complaints that the peasantry had no bread that they should eat cake instead. ("Well, then, let them eat cake.")

The quote is probably just propaganda, but a lot of people know it.

Well I am French and I have never heard of that story  :-[

So if a dwarf is having a romance with a dead one, he/she will remain widow for the rest of his:her life?

She was some Austrian princess, married into the family, the peasants were all hungry and stuff so [apparantly] she said "If they can not have bread, let them eat cake" or something like that...

218. No matter my alignment, organizing halfling pit fights is a violation.
231. I am not allowed to do anything that would make a Sith Lord cry.

And the vote for most off-topic forum thread goes to....

But, to the topic, you should try to edit the RAW files to make her in love with somebody alive.

Great!
Which file is it, and which line should I edit? (redirect me to a tutorial if there is one...) How are the dwarves identified in the file?

I'm actually not too sure how to mod an individual game. I've edited the RAWs once to make Jellyfish catchable, but never again. Try asking on the Little Questions thread, and just toy around with the RAW files.
