Btw, if you ever feed an NPC spoiled food and are nowhere close to the exits, I've discovered you can alleviate the -5 karma and relationship penalty by first throwing an alcoholic beverage at them (it must hit them and make them drunk -- also, simply giving it to them won't work since they're already in the process of eating), and then attack them once. You will get a -2 karma hit from throwing something at them, but when they die no penalty will be incurred. For whatever reason it must be an alcoholic beverage as well, I guess they have to be drunk? Kinda bizarre, but I was pretty desperate at the time

How do you find enough staves for the God of Elements? Wiki suggests buying cheap wizard slaves, but that's a HUGE amount of key presses. Or should I move on to another god first, then stockpile every single staff I can find?

Start with any other god, and always buy up staves from the blacksmiths. If you want, you might  be able to get them faster puppy diving, but not sure.

You should move to another god first. Puppy diving for those staves is practically an excercise in futility. You're better off stealing them staves from humanoid magicians like wizards of elea or baptists, but of course, such a thing is also time consuming.

Best thing to do is to buy slaves, take the staves, sell them and repeat, and buy the staves from every single blacksmith you can find. Investing, if you have the cash, helps somewhat, as it expands the shopkeeper's inventory.
