Just got my second wish from three drinks on the first fountain I encountered.
Holy cow, that's impressive! Hah, dump potions into it and see if it gives you any more. o.0

Speaking of luck, just happened across a <claymore> with a #### Healing Rain enchantment on it, and managed to change-mat it to rubynus, so it's at 3d14 + 13 for damage and +5 to hit now. I'm pretty sorely tempted to switch over to two-hand now, considering that I'm running a Pianist and should probably have more pets than I do, despite already being pretty dedicated to two-weapon (considering that I've got a couple static artifacts that work well with it). Do it, Y/N?

Give it to a pet?

A great idea for two reasons:
A) Two Hands can give its benefit even if a creature does not in fact have two hands.  So those pets that you had to gene engineer any hands onto would need less fiddling (which is good because splicing on body parts often leads to splicing on unwanted skills...does your ace fighter really need to waste his skill increases in Carpentry skill?).

B) More potential pets start with Two Hands than Dual Wield.  So it's just easier to increase your pets damage dealing with a single big weapon versus several smaller weapons.  Plus, a pet using one large weapon with Two Hands will benefit from day one, whereas the Dual Wield pet needs several hours of killing before it's skill offsets the penalties inherent in multiple weapon use.

I always love to have my pets rock out Two Hands.  Sure, I'm fond of trying to create the ultimate multi-armed combatant, but the Big Weapon pets are just easier.

Dont worry about extra skills on pets. It does not have a noticible affect on pet potential. Just add body parts as need.

Incorrect, if you want your pets to be efficient.

Pets when hiring trainers will choose a random skill the improve. The less skills your pets have, the better.

i think peys train all skills at once now. There is a randomization of how much. Or they train several. I get alot of pet training in 1.39 because i get 100 pet wins and get 200k gold. That is 10 trains. Not enough to train all skills yet they all go up.

For high lwvel players.... What do you spend gold on? Most of mine goes to nvesting. The stuff at souvenir shops is largely not worth it. Scrolls of gain material, wonder, change material, and potions of potential dont cost that much in late game.

I'm finding Claymores (the class, not the item) hard to get working thematically, as typically my weapon is heavy enough that I'm nearly over the Light Armour threshold with just that, let alone wearing things like shoes, gloves, etc.

Anyone else experienced this? Is it worth just dumping Light Armour immediately and switching to training Medium?

Feels pretty silly that weapons count toward weight for armour type. Though the whole Light/Medium/Heavy armour thing itself isn't implemented so well I'd say.
Wear only cloth stuff and don't equip a ranged weapon. The weapon you wield shouldn't weigh enough to push you even near the light armor threshold, unless you're getting some ridiculous materials.

No ranged weapon? That seems more than a little limiting.
That's sorta the point of the class. Relies on speed, dodging, and dealing massive amounts of damage once you close in.

You could also pick up magic, or just slog through until you get Shadow Step.

I don't think anyone is as high level as you around here. Sorry.

I am a lich claymore. Are you trying to roleplay? Heavier armor is better because you get more protection. Armor skills are not that important. The evasion/greater evasion are more important for defense.
The only reason to go lighter armor are for mages earlier in the game for the casting success. I have a lich claymore (got the tip from here). I moved up to the best armor I could find.

well this is intersting. I have now gone through all the gods. I did jure and opatos twice (forgot to get the final items). it was tohught htat you can cannot get god gifts twice. I got the first 3 jure items twice and the first 2 opatos items twice. I did not get the opatos hammer agian.

Now on ekhetel of luck. Got the black cat at 1525 favor like normal. Got nothing at 2525 favor. At 4025 I finally got the secret treasure. This is supposed to come at 2525. Hmm.

I'm not a high level player by any means, but I guess you could throw a couple million into a kitty bank, break it, and have a pet pick it up for further training? Though I guess even that might eventually cap out when the pet hits 400% in everything.

no. I have my pet potentials high from arena and gems. 2m is too much. first off thieves steal from them. 2nd they dont stop training at 400%. so if everything gets that high they just waste the gold.

latest version 1.40fix. its alot cheaper to add enchantments onto your weapons/armor.

regular greater enchat scrolls take you to +6/ blessed to +8
price to 'harden' at armorer (adds enchantments) is radically reduced. To go from +9 to +10 is now 91k. it was 10 million.

latest version 1.40fix.
http://elona.wikia.com/wiki/Thread:14154

From the comments it looks like there's a crash/error for some abilities/skills in 1.40fix and that there's a 1.40fix2 soon to come that solve those problems
