Ludum Dare 22

Ludum Dare is a competition that challenges entrants to create a game solo and from scratch in 48-hours.
Ludum Dare #22 starts on the 16th/17th December (timezone depending).

Anyone in?

I'm far to lazy and slow moving to make anything in 48 hours. 

I had a hard enough time with those 7 day roguelike contests.   :P

Maybe it's parasitic. It never loses its flavor because you eventually die from having your nutrients stolen by it.

I've taken the warmup challenge, even though I probably won't make it to the compo itself.
First theme to come to my mind was Swirl, considering either something space related(like, galactic spirals), or something about hurricanes.

EDIT: Hurricanes it was, or rather whirlpools, hence the name Viking Whirlpools
also C++/SDL(if at all)

I'm not sure what to use yet. Game Maker was my frontrunner, but I've never been able to get very far in a project without running into problems with the software, so now I'm thinking Python with the Pygame library. The problem with that is that I've never had any kind of success compiling Python code to an EXE.
