another Quick art, i liked the shading i did on the bolts, but am dissatisfied with the extra plating on the heel, needed to be a bit crisper.

EDIT: also i may upload some shopped pictures at some point, but that just does not seem like as much of an art form to me, despite the added potential.

What's the Anvil update about?

It increased the loading speed of chunks in real time, I think.  It also pumped up the build height from 100-something to 200-something.  Which is good news for waterfall guys like me.

Edit: spelling error fixed

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/46645289/Eagleon%20-%20Siderole.mp3 Been working on this for a while. Very muddy, but I don't have any decent non-midi patches, so reverb-monster it is!

That's a pretty neat track, y'know. A bit slow for my tastes (i prefer my music actiony and such), but definitely well made.

@Guardian: Whoa, nice! You love them military vehicles, right? :P

Also, doodle dump time!!!

@Eagleon: The melody at 6:55 is great! I could imagine hearing this score in a movie or game. To me the muddy-ness feels like it adds a layer of extra atmosphere. Good job!

I created a little piece of music too, http://soundcloud.com/vaniardur/halindir-dusk

I made a gif from the music video for Black Hole Sun.
Not going to put it in image tags, because it'll load slow as hell.

Another try at vehicle design:

I've tried to mix the early version of Mi-24 (the one that features in Call of Duty Black Ops) with Mi-8.

Back near the start of this year I bought Minecraft. After building a castle and the usual things I was stumped with what to build next.

So... Touhou happened.  ::)

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

The majority of the buildings are based off what official artwork I could find (not much) and the backgrounds from IaMP, SWR and Hisoutensoku. Where I lacked official pictures I used fanart (such as with the Palanquin Ship), what I could remember from the scenes present in the games (again with the Palanquin Ship, the deck is based off the pattern in game), or I just used what I imagined it to be like (Scarlet Devil Mansion for the layout, though the library, foyer and clock tower are based off backgrounds, as well as the basic design for the front. It's from a small, black and white pencil sketch).

I feel compelled to add that most of it was build by hand. Though, for my own sanity and good health the bamboo forest I build using repeated squares that slotted together (Straight, Corner, Dead End, Crossroads etc), the earth around the Palanquin Ship and some areas underground were excavated using MCEdit.

I've had this sitting on my computer for ages, but there's no fun keeping it for myself.. so here you all go. I encourage you to explore the area (The buildings are all pretty close together (usually just within sight of each other). If I was to draw a line around the border, than the Hakurei Shrine, Scarlet Devil Mansion, Hakugyokurou, Palanquin Ship and Eientei would be on the edges.
Use it for whatever. Building, exploring, roleplaying (keep me in mind if you plan to, I'd be interested in observing, maybe taking part), or blowing up/burning it all to the ground. :P

40meg, and it's compressed into a .zip file called Enerva. Copy the Enerva folder into your Minecraft save folder. It'll most likely need patch 1.2.5 installed, but no other mods are required.
On Windows 7 it is located at:
C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft
the AppData folder might be hidden. Unfortunately I can't remember at the moment how to make folders visible.

Anyway, enjoy all y'all!

not bad, while minecraft is.... confused as a game it is pretty great for creative people.

also large projects without MCedit would be horrifying.
