I'm not actually sure it goes here since it's a programming project. Maybe it does? I hope jc doesn't mind.

Anyway, lately I've been trying to recreate the Alterniabound engine in flash from (almost) scratch. I'm using the Flixel library. The testbed for the game can be played here, along with controls: http://freeformschooler.com/flash/

Right now collisions between characters are disabled so you can just sort of walk over them.

Found a free sketch app for my touchscreen that doesn't suck!

It's still hard, though, fat fingers and all. I wish I could use a stylus on this thing.

Sketchbook Mobile Express for Android. It's not super sophisticated, but I tried a bunch of similar apps and this is the only one that wasn't completely frustrating to use. It's got, you know, layers and variable brush type/width/opacity and undo/redo and all those handy things. There is a premium version (which is two bucks, so I'll probably buy it), but the free version doesn't lack any essential features for quick scribbling. Highly recommend if you've got an Android tablet.

I've got the premium version of that program. Unfortunately, as I have found out, drawing something on a small screen of my Samsung Galaxy Ace is very difficult.
It is more suited for expensive tablets instead of phones.

Thanks~ Yeah, over in the Homestuck RPG we're going to be doing a real flash with this. A CHRISTMAS FLASH. But seriously, this is just for forum games.

I'm learning how to animate with Autodesk Maya and I finally got UV mapping to work and I suck at making stuff but I finally modeled a sword right and textured the blade and rendered it and I also finally learned a bit about Photoshop and I'm happy and feeling pretty good about myself. :)

Also, run-on sentences.

I was on a coin forging tangent in DF when I realized that I want a DF coin to hold in my hands, so I modeled one up for 3d printing.

I revised the military dwarf side of the coin to not stick out, making the whole object less mass, and less mass = less production cost. The gold version of the coin for example is down $10 from before.
