Nah, they're Thousand Sons. The real alpha legion is in all of us.

Anyway, I don't mind it being just 3 factions because they're bringing Gorgutz back.

Actually, it was known since first trailer that it will be the... "Big 3". Only Eldar, Orks and Space Marines, unless they're hiding some heresy for bonus suprise points.

hope not it would be the umpthillion time for the plot twist being 'it was chaos all along'

Well, pre-expansion DoW2 wasn't about Chaos. And in Winter Assault, Chaos was just sort of... there, taking a backseat to Gorgutz debut and the Necrons as the final boss.

I still want a Kaptin who eats Necrons to gain their power.

Sounds like a Kroot thing!
Actually, adapting tech seems like something the Tau should be able to do.  Except that everyone elses tech is either shitty, possessed, or requires a soul to operate.  Or all of the above, for chaos :P

The Tau? Adopt the unenlightened technology of superstitious primitives? Surely you jest.

If a Kroot ate enough Orks, could they become a warboss?

No, but they would become larger, more aggressive, more Ork-like in appearance (bigger arm to leg ratios and larger heads and the like) and some may explode with WAAAGH!!! energy the way Weirdboys do, at least if they eat Weirdboys.

Or warp diving?

They do it all the time.
