The laughing god will likely just continue to giggle at it all. I like him, he's fun. Knows how to tell a good joke.

Cegoragh (as of harlequin codex) has just started his endgame. Bundles of Eldar are suddenly flocking to join the harlequins and he's just deigned to share the great gambit with them, in which somehow slaanesh is tricked into resurrecting the Eldar.

TFW Cegorach is tricked himself (by Creed, of course) and Slannesh actually ressurects The Big E.
The Deciver tricks everyone and suddenly Tyranids are Tau.

I love that Tau tried to reverse-engineer the orkish trakktor beam, and managed to come up with a personal defense repulsor field.

It's the exact opposite of what they were going for, but considering the ork's casual irreverence towards physics, the Tau still call it a win.

So how long until the Tau figure out how to use SCIENCE to ally with Tyranids?

A very long time. >.>

They might be able to reverse engineer the pheromones and stuff but any time a synapse creature gets in range they're kinda boned. Hive Mind is too big to drown out that signal.

Plenty of ways around that. Build drones specifically to snipe synapse creatures, bribe them with food, broadcast a false hivemind signal.

I feel like if they actually do get in range of a synapse creature, chances are there's a whole lot more Tyranid where that came from and they would've been fucked anyway.

Well the "rumors" are that a similar thing was already done to the vespids.

The Vespids didn't have the Hive Mind cramming a psychic will stronger than the Inmaterium itself tho.

Or did they?!

I'm not saying the vespids are actually just what the tau are showing of a suborned splinter fleet, but...

E: plot twist, the tau actually are a splinter fleet, just one that's figured out how to get by without completely consuming all biological matter in their way -- the ones the imperium actually see are the infiltrated genestealer equivalents

That first part is what everyone wants to do anyway and turns out to be still rather hard to do. Bribing Tyranids with food when you are food is a...poor idea, to say the least, and as I said before, Hive Mind signal is a bit hard to drown out with one of your own.

The Hive Mind would just like to let you know that it really is nothing personal, it's just that you are delicious.
