(Got it, thanks.)In a rush, you run your mother and despite her cries of pain, sling her over your shoulder and prepare to run out the village. An imp leaps at you, face contorted in rage and hunger and with a backhand you crack its skull, sending it flopping backwards limp.
Grab her and run to safety, kicking demon ass as we encounter it.
Turn the knight into canned meat with our fists.Well duh. And then let's go find and beat up these lord demon guys, too.

If there is no tree nearby suitable to our purpose... catch boulders and chuck them at other boulders. We're good at chucking boulders.

As the wizard said, the Abyss it's quite literally infinite. In sure we can find enough demons there to work things out.
Evil: Swear loyalty to hell, make reforms from the inside!Funny! But no.
Haha! Good joke. He’s a dead man.+1
We’ll conquer the Abyss later, ourself.
Well of course. We need them for the purification stuff.Haha! Good joke. He’s a dead man.+1

This seems like a good time to just punch something until it dies. I'm assuming your plan is to kill the sorcerer and then capture the two demons?
I wonder if we can capture all 3? Knock them all unconscious and carry them out. We killed everyone else already so it shouldn’t be an issueWell of course. We need them for the purification stuff.Haha! Good joke. He’s a dead man.+1

If only we automatically rolled a 6 on brute strength checks

Ahhahaha, I have the best shenanigan for this.+1, par Toutatis ! Ils sont fous, ces sorciers !
Grasp the armoured demon by its feet. Swing it in circles Asterix-style, clobbering the gathered sorcerer-clones with its head.
I don’t know what language that is, but yes, spinning is the best option here.Ahhahaha, I have the best shenanigan for this.+1, par Toutatis ! Ils sont fous, ces sorciers !

B+1. And let’s have the wizard check the armor before we try wearing it.
No use tearing down a building that can be used
+1. And let’s have the wizard check the armor before we try wearing it.+1 to checking the armor, but also +1 to A. Best not to leave a defensible (And very evil) position left standing where any old random bandit could decide to set himself up as a baron or whatever, hm?

We have an army, right? Once we’ve had the tower checked for corruption, we can have them occupy it if the place is ok and we can destroy it if it’s not.+1. A+1 and yeah let's get to that purification ritual ASAP
Yes to the purification ritual ASAP, didn’t say (+1) because that could be construed as a double vote when I am supporting the addition without saying (A) twiceA+1 and yeah let's get to that purification ritual ASAP
It suddenly occurs to me that there might be more than one side to this story.[/s]Didn’t she already do that?

"This." Gesture towards the corrupted fire at our heart. "Can you cure... this?"
You move to stop her but she is faster than you and lays a hand upon your chest. Looking down, you see the red burning sun of your corruption retract and flee from her touch, shrinking beneath her attention. You freeze at the sight.
Didn't we literally go murderize an entire tower full of enemies and drag two demon lords back here in chains in order to cure people?Yes. Ignore my previous post
Let's pull a Caesar, and build a wall around the temple. We hold it long enough for the Orcs to reach us, and then we split the army to lead the counter invasion.+1
Lightly modified plan:+1
If massive hordes are heading our way, we need to hold them at the entry point---a choke point is our only hope if we're going to be massively outnumbered. Hold them at the entry point so that their corruption and whatnot can't leak out over the world. Send messengers to everyone nearby and ask for soldiers, using the authority of ourselves, the Elves, the wizard, the priests, everybody. Construct a line of circumvallation around the temple, prepare a rotation of soldiers to fight the demons *at the gates* so that their superior numbers won't do them any good. We'll rotate our limited supply of soldiers into and out of the fighting and attempt to hold the demons until our Orcish reinforcements arrive, at which point the Orcs will press into the portals...to support ourselves and a few champions, who are going to preemptively invade the invaders' homes, to distract them from invading our home.

13 gates huh?+1
We only need one, the rest will just be a liability for our world while we are gone. Since we have some time to kill before the orcs reach us, lets tear down the other 12 gates, and kill as many demons as we can in the process.

I do like the idea of forcing gravity to do what we want, but for a more "reasonable" option....How about we try both at the same time? After all, if we make the gravity thing work, then this part becomes even easier!
Fall like a skydiver (knees bent back, arms bent, etc.) and angle our descent towards the sides of the pit as fast as we can, screaming obscenities at Hell's weak excuse for gravity. Get close to the stairways on the side, and cut them down, severing the demon armies' ability to march to their gates.

After we land, work our way back up through the gates and back to our world. It's important for several reasons that we enter with our army at the appointed time. It's gotta be bad for moral that we seemingly vanished into a hell gate, but since they collapsed the area around the entrance at least this one probably isint spewing as many demons anymore.
Brimstone is an alternative name for sulphur, or sulfur.Apparently brimstone is an alternative name for sulphur. So Hell is just made of sulfur. Why is sulfur hated by deities? Or is it loved by demons?
Brimstone is a name for what hell is made out of. Historically, it became associated with sulfur because sulfur can be found at the mouths of volcanoes, which might be charitably described as hellish places when active. The heat, the noxious and toxic gases, the presence of sulfur (a material not found in that form anywhere else), sometimes molten rock, it seemed pretty close to hell as far as ancient people were concerned, hence why solid deposits of sulfur (a material almost uniquely found in these locations) became called "brimstone".Thank you. It’s interesting to learn why things are called what they are called.
