Veneficus sighs. Heavily.

"Today is not my day."

He faces the crowd.

"My apologies. I shall be going now."

Veneficus has, however, not given up. Yet. He leans against some random wall and watches the priest and his guards. Closely.

Walking towards the wizard Lanius sighs "Can we leave? Nothing is... Um... Happening. Priest is here so we can leave?"

@@I agree, Something doesn't seem right@@ Razed whispers to Wyrne

Razed turns to the one with the leather armour and short sword, thinking him to likely be the most reasonable.

@@If I might inquire, what reason prompts such haste as you displayed in your entry? And by what means were you delayed by such a time.@@

Scan the other people who were traveling with me and the High Priest and his escort with detect evil anyways.

Just in case. After such a long wait for this, all caution must be exercised. Something is wrong here... Although if the High Priest here IS an imposter, he'd probably have magical protection against this simple a scan.

"Well if help is needed just find me. I will be looking for a place to smith."

Look for a blacksmith that will allow me to make items. Try to work there for a while for cash.

Malkor raises his eyebrows at this guard's behavior. Sure, orcs weren't exactly welcome, but Pelor's followers tended to be more...tolerant of other races(crazy paranoid elves notwithstanding). He tries to remember who the High priest of his church was....

No. I suppose there are similarities, but I'm fairly certain angry birds doesn't let me charge into a battalion of knights with a car made of circular saws.

The young man hops down from his horse and walks forwards. The other two riders also dismount and follow him.

The young man walks up to Razed and inclines his head.
"My name is Father Eogan. I am here to escort the High Priest" - he gestures to the old man - "to meet with the dwarven ambassador. I must apologise for our delay. As it turns out, Plane Shift is a surprisingly difficult spell to aim."

Meanwhile, the old old man waves to the ambassador, and walks around behind the tavern. The dwarves follow him, leaving the crowd behind. The armoured man ties up the horses and gives them some sugar cubes.

One of the villagers offers to show you to his forge, just up the hill on the east side. It's a poky little place, but there's some farm equipment that needs repairing, and the villager seems grateful for the help.

Hard science is like a sword, and soft science is like fear. You can use both to equally powerful results, but even if your opponent disbelieve your stabs, they will still die.

Razed eyes the horse dubiously and walks over to join the elf leaning against the wall.

@@You were involved in some sort of commotion earlier with the ambassador, weren't you? What was that about. And what do you think of "Father Eogen"? @@

"You were involved in some sort of commotion earlier with the ambassador, weren't you? What was that about. And what do you think of "Father Eogen"?"
"Yes, something rather embarrassing. And as for the 'Father', I'm not sure that it's the High Priest if he had to use Plane Shift to get here."

You start working. The villager promises to pay you for whatever you repair, before running back down the hill, presumably to see more of the exchange between the other strangers and the High Priest's fellow.
