Alright, Jaxar will just follow mother whoever she goes.

Training. That's all Jaxar would do. Training. On anything. Everything. Honing his skills to a sharp, curved point. He discovered his special sonic breath, how to gut an enemy with one claw, and other such useful traits. He concentrated on nothing, save training.
Trainig to be the best. Anything less was unacceptable. Anything less was weak.

Edited story to make it so that I can meet Nirathi for the first time when the game resumes without leaving any plot holes.

There goes the pseudo-byzantine empire plot I was working on. Alas, I am bound by the decisions of the players. Well at least this way I won't have to make different titles.
You were moving me and Nirur to an unnamed city/fortress/whatever. It seemed obvious that you would want us to meet. Besides the game has quite a lot of character interaction. Wouldn't want to be alone.

(I have NO IDEA what to write, and I'm still awake at 7AM, so god knows what nonsense you're gonna get here...)

Koraeleth, his once beautiful, gleaming coat of red scales now disfigured by many scars and bald batches, grew bitter with age, becoming increasingly reserved and bitter towards his siblings. He still sought to serve his Mother at any opportunity however, some part of his angry mind clinging to that one solace.
Far more interesting to him than the scuffles and games of his inferior siblings was the thought of the world, outside the cave... What was out there? More of those small squeaking creatures? Things to eat, to fight, things that shone, things that rolled on the ground, things in different colours? Things he could crush, or turn to ash with a puff of his newly-discovered breath?
There were so many questions, and the strange, angry red longed for the day he could venture out to explore, leaving the cramped confines of the cave and the unpleasant company of his brothers and sisters. Most often when their paths crossed he would growl and fight.
He tried to befriend them, of course, when he was in a good mood... But his scarred form was rather frightening and unlovely, and for the most part his only friend was Mother, whom he viewed with a near-fanatical devotion. She doubtless worried about the first-born of her clutch...

With the transition into the Juvenile Lifestage, certain things are being added:

  • BP, as suggested by Torir, is now in the game. For the most part, each breath will cost 3BP, but the cost may increase or decrease depending on what exactly you do with the breath and certain traits.
  • MP is now being used by the more magical dragons. Every spell will have different costs and some may need more than just MP; reagents in other words.
  • Titles will be changed to adjust to new circumstances.
  • Expect a wee bit more grey morality and plots.

Orphan

Dekoth(Nega)

Ten years ago, you were born into this world. It was not the best birth, you saw your mother die after all, but it was a start to a  future. (1) Seffyn was a good parent, and his child, Altaf, was a good sister. However, life was not much better than your birth. Seffyn had been nomadic for decades; dragons hated wyverns with a fury and would always try to kill them. You had lost two step-siblings that way. Further more, nearly no one would take your family in, wyverns brought too much attention they all said. (3) It was not until a year ago, that you had ended up in a small town called Elorrin that you found a home. The people finally allowed your family to stay, in return for work. Every day you would have to help the blacksmiths, help the herders, aid the miners, and what ever help the town needed. You weren't payed much, but it was a life. They gave Seffyn an old temple just outside the town as a home. As far as lairs went, it was good. It was spacious and still beautiful with engravings and glass.

You in the course of time, made friends with some of the townsmen. A herder boy by the name of Hamadj was one of the only humans you knew to be not even a bit afraid of dragons. You often worked for his family, herding the sheep. Hamadj would often stop at the temple each time before nightfall.

You also made a friend with a girl named Lestris. She was the daughter of one of the local traders, Abbas. Abbas had no male children, nor a want for a wife, so he opted to teach the girl his trade; a major taboo for the people of the region. As you worked, she would often come and watch...and try to ride you.

While the work could be difficult, and luxuries were few, you had good friends and a loving family. Life was good. (1) Or at least you thought it was.

There was a world outside of the town, you had not seen it in two years but it was there. This town was part of the Yahl Emirate, and it had gone to war with the Kring Empire to the north. Immediately, weaponry was being produced on a mass scale, and soldiers were recruited. For a while you thought this wouldn't affect you; let the lesser races do what they do, you thought one day...Until the recruiter was at your doors.

"Emir Kajal demands that you report to Kej as soon as possible. You are to aid in the war efforts there." The recruiter said

The emissary displayed papers that said that all able citizens must aid in the war.

"As much as I respect the emir, we are doing our part here. We help with the mines, the forges even with the trading." Seffyn replied.

"And your emir thanks you, but surely you must not take him for a fool? You are a wyvern and you raise a dragon! Your family would be of much more use in fighting, not here in this backwater."

That was the moment you knew that you would have to move again. You would have to leave your friends and home behind...and fight in this damned war....Life is never for you.

BrokenHold

Nirathi(Nirur Torir)

BrokenHold, the hat of the Kring Empire, your friend Tris would often say. It was more than that however, it was your home. You had lived here for most of your life. (4) You spent your time learning, helping, and playing, as with all good little dwarven children. You liked the children of the fort, there were only 6 4 children in the fort currently. Two had become adults a month ago, Urn and Estif.

The dwarven adults were a bit more mixed about you; some loved you, others were neutral, and a few wanted you out, but you remained as it was part of the deal after all.

(6) While the dwarves wouldn't teach you a thing about their rune magic, your mother would sometimes teach you a few spells of her magic. She only taught you when she was in a good mood, which was rare so you only know a  spells. They are however, useful.

Spell Get!- Human Form- You can turn into a human for a short period of time. 2MP
Spell Get!- Dwarf Form- You can turn into a dwarf for a short period of time. 2MP
Spell Get!- Hide- You can make your self unseeable for a short period of time. 4MP
Spell Get!- Glow- You are able to make the target glow for a period of time. 2MP
Spell Get!-Telekinesis- You can control objects from a distance with magic. 3MP

(4) Recently, the fort had been ectastic lately; they had found several huge veins of gold in the mines, since then the population had increased to 160. They were unfamiliar to you, and a few of them even thought you were a prisoner of some sort.

Mother was away right now, probably doing an errand of some sort. She still had never told you here name; everyone just called her Arleana. Right now you were just watching the little eggs which could be your siblings. Your friend Moras and Tris were in the room playing a new board game they got off the traders. Elven traders you had heard, strange for them to come all the way up here and stranger yet the dwarves let them in; you learned most dwarves hate elves.

Astaroth(Tomas1297)

Ever since the day you left your father, you had been wandering. You went around the cities and kingdoms training under different masters and scholars, just learning about the world and how to survive. You wandered from the east to west, from north and south. For seven years you had lived like this.

Of course you weren't alone; the same two men who had brought you away from your father had stayed with you for your whole life. The fat one with the fancy moustache was Eder. He was human and was a mercenary in his youth. He was funny, that's why you liked him. The other one was tall, slender, and nearly hairless except for his head. He was what was called an elf; he was old and yet he still seemed so young. He said he was from far away and used to live in a great empire, until it fell. He knew a great deal about the world, its countries, wildlife, its people and even the land itself. For that, you treated him like a father. His name was Murcas

Anyway, as said, you traveled for years just learning. But eventually you ended up in a dwarven fortress called DeepChasm. At first you weren't allowed in, they didn't like elves much. But after they received reports of a horde of raiders coming in, they decided that they wouldn't let you die. The raiders came, took everything not inside the fort, and had the gall of sieging. The dwarves, as much as they wanted to kill them, simply couldn't; they were too fast on their mounts and kept dodging the defences. Eventually, Murcas had had enough, went up to the walls, and cast a spell. As he chanted, the horses started going nuts and that forced the siege to end. For that, the elf was tolerated and all of you decided to stay. At least, you did stay until everyone left the fort. Turns out that the whole purpose of the fort was to mine gold, with it gone there was no reason to stay.

Once again, you were on the road, this time in the Kring Empire. Kring was huge and so your carers decided a trip all over the empire would be good for your education. Well things didn't go as planned; somehow, you ended up being captured by bandits. Even the spells of Murcas were not enough. Only with the timely intervention of an elven caravan were you freed. You all decided that it was best to travel with the elves for now; they would provide food and they were traveling anyway, why not? Well you would come to regret that.

The caravan's route went through the tundras of the north. You hated it here, at least right now you were inside this dwarven fort. It was called BrokenHold. From what you had heard from the elves and your companions, dragons were living here. It would be nice to see your kin again; you had not seen any since your father.

Spell Get!- Heat- Makes the object or organism feel a hot sensation. 4MP
Spell Get!- Sloth-Makes the target feel tired and lazy. 7MP
Spell Get!- Harden- Increases the toughness of the target for a time. 4MP

Prisoner

Conchobar(Sinpwn)

You dreamt. You were under your birth-tree again, with your mother next to you. You imagined your father again; big, strong, and killer of elves. But dreams are never true, you had decided some time ago.

You awoke and remembered. You were the "Saviour of the Empire of the Elves". Pah! These elves made you sick. They wanted something back that was unreachable; they wasted their power and they were simply weak. No wonder they had lost their empire. But you were smarter than too show your discontent; no, you listened, you befriended, you agreed.

(4)You learned the magics of the elves; mostly about the control of nature and the elements. Useful.

Spell Get!-Flame- Inflicts small amounts of fire damage on target. 3MP
Spell Get!-Heavy Winds- Summons up a great wind on to the area. 6MP
Spell Get! Dominate Wildlife- Makes certain creatures unaggressive or stationary. 5MP
Spell Get! Dominate Sentient- Makes sentient creatures willing to listen to you more often. 10MP

(4) As you aged, you decided that the elves would become your thralls, as they should be. You wormed into their minds, working their brains and forcing their wills. One day however you grew ambitious, you decided you would do it to the heir to the Empire, Endra Gelos. That backfired. She not only resisted you, but she alerted her oracle and her court. (3) Most of your thralls were turned back. You yourself were stuck in your cell for days on end until a council decided that further punishment may be necessary, but for now you would walk free. A great number of the elves do not treat with you now, nor do they trust you. However, one scholarly elf still does. Fool. He is curious about dragons, and well you kind of like him. He knows so much...

The Pack

Alterix(Alkyon)

Life in the cave was boring. Your siblings frequently quarraled, which could be entertaining at times, but quickly grew tiring. You spent some time exploring the cavern, looking at the treasure and making sketches with your elmstone, but quickly you grew bored with the caverns. And then you began to wonder; what was outside? There was so much that could be out there, so many places, so many treasures just waiting to be found. Eventually you worked up the courage and asked mother if you could go out and explore, amazingly, she did. Course she never told you how to get out, but eventually you found out that the darker the caverns got, the nearer you were to the exit. Mother was like that.

You decided that the treasures that were recorded on the Elmstone were worthy of you. The surrounding ruins were filled with what humans called monsters- you called them cinder. Unfortunately for you, the surrounding ruins had long ago been looted. All you found was false gold. You decided to search further a field. Two days to the west was an old city, your stone said it housed artifacts once, perhaps it still did. Course mother was not apt to allowing you go. Only after you got Acheran and Gravnoth to accompany you did she relent. And still with wary.

When you got there, you found it guarded by humans in dark clothing...What could they want here? Well that didn't matter to you, only the artifacts. After drawing up a plan, the three of you were able to get in and nab a ring and a strange box...and two notes accompanying it. You returned straight home.

Acheran (Tarran)

Ever since your first day of life, you have been kind to the lesser races. That human you helped told tales about the little dragon who helped him. The villages are less wary of you, and sometimes you even join in the festivities. Course, most of them are outright hostile to you ever since your brother Azkul started raiding them. You dislike him for that, yet he his your brother. Over the course of time, you befriended one specific individual, a hunter by the name of Drevis. He often shared his kills with you, and he told good stories. A nice enough man.

As you went befriending the villages, your brother Alterix went exploring. One day, he actually asked for help. He even asked Gravnoth, who agreed....

The three of you went west of your home, to an old ruin. It was guarded by humans...in cloaks of darkness. Never the less, Alterix thought up a plan and got a few artifiacts.

Gravnoth(Haika)

As time passed, all Gravnoth thought of much was eating. When he ate, he grew larger. When he grew larger, he became stronger, or at least that was what he believed. Well, (2) he hadn't really grown to be gigantic in size; yes he was the size of a large cow, but so were his siblings. He did however learn what was good to eat around the area. He knew what kind of animals were bad to eat and what plants could kill him.

Gravnoth often fought with his brothers; he still had a rivalry with Koraeleth .

Nearly a week ago, Alterix came back to the caves and asked you to accompany him to recover some artifact. Seeing nothing else to do with your time, you agreed. Acheran also came.

The three of you went west of your home, to an old ruin. It was guarded by humans...in cloaks of darkness. Never the less, Alterix thought up a plan and got a few artifiacts.

Koraeleth(Yoink)

You are mother's beloved, yes...You are not the gleaming drake you were when you were born, combat and rivalry has seen to that. No dragon would ever love you for your appearance, sibling or otherwise. Except mother of course, she loved you the most.

And yet...That did not halt your curiosity of the outside world. What was out there? What lied beyond the safety of your home? Beyond the glowing mounds and fighting of your brothers? You had heard your siblings speak of it before, in fact Alterix had organized some journey to a "ruin". He had just come back today. Perhaps it would be prudent to explore it one day, to leave this dark place. After all, dragons are the greatest of all beast and reds are the best above all.

Jaxar(Spaghetti7)

Superiority was all that mattered. That could only be accessed through strength, so you spent much of your time training, trying to become stronger. Kefka would always watch you and support you, such a good little brother he was.

Kefka(Firelordsky)

Ten years has passed since you hatched. In that time you have obeyed your mother and served Jaxar. You have also learned the local tongue, Derenian. In these 10 years, most of the time has been spent helping Jaxar and building up relations with your brothers.

The Monster

Azkul(Azkul)
Soon after the age of seven, you began leaving the caverns. You found that others lived nearby, humans like that thief you saved all those years ago. But with age came new avenues of entertainment. You at first only looked at the villages from afar. Then you graduated to entering and breaking things, and finally you went beyond the line. You began to kill people. Most of the villages became hostile after that. When mother found out what you had done, she beat you and berated you, and yet you continued to do it. (3) Eventually, she outright told you to leave, to get out of her sight and never comeback. You were horrified of course, and tearful at first, but now it's just a memory. Now, you live alone in the wilds, hunting and attacking villages. They call you "The Monster". Right now, your out attacking another village.

Find an abandoned room deep in the fortress where my new Thralls will be able to congregate in peace.

(I'd like a bit of information about my spells if at all possible. Namely, how long does dominate sentient last, how effective is it and would it be obvious if I light someone on fire during a ceremony?)

1-10 minutes, depending on roll.
It pretty much allows you to command anyone as long as their trusfullness isn't too low or their intelligence isn't too high. Or if the command isn't too...impossible or unlikely.

Extremely obvious. They're on the lookout now.

(You should probably add my strength and intelligence bonuses to my stats. Keeping them as traits can make them difficult to track. Also my int modifier is now +2.)

Astaroth hated the tundra. In addition to being uncomfortably cold, the featureless landscape bored him endlessly.
The dragon knew that he was going to stay in BrokenHold for quite some time. While he enjoyed traveling, it was impossible to survive without stopping once in a while to rest and get supplies for future travels. Astaroth decided that he should just try to enjoy his stay. Besides, this was a good chance to learn more about the world.

Having already slept in the caravan, Astaroth went to explore the fortress. In addition to learning about the layout, he was also interested in finding something exciting and learning more about the culture.

 (Also:

I imagine spending seven years traveling without getting opportunities to amass a treasure trove would make you lose interest in wealth. So I'd like to lose the "treasure hunter" trait. A "hungry for knowledge" trait would be more fitting.)

No, it actually showed you maps. Thing is, not all parts of the map is updated, most of it is using maps from centuries ago.
