So to start off what are the DFhack commands to get a full set of armor (chainmail shirt, breastplate, greaves, high boots, helm, gauntlets and shield).  I ask because I cannot figure out how what to start the creatitem command.

Does http://dwarffortresswiki.org/index.php/Utility:DFHack/createitem help?

No it only shows how to make gauntlets and I cannot figure out the first part of the creatitem command so I have tried ARMOR:???  TORSO:??? UPPER_BODY:?? And a couple other for the breastplate and none of them have worked.

Armor is the right item token. Are you getting the actual item's name right? Like ARMOR:ITEM_ARMOR_BREASTPLATE BRONZE ?

Do for all of the armor like chain shirts, high boots and grieves I would use ARMOR right?

No. You'd use the right item token, like HELM, SHOES and PANTS.

Ok so I would use PANTS for greaves, HELM for the helm, SHOES for the high boots, ARMOR for the chainmail and breastplate and sheilds, GLOVE for the gauntlet right?

I'd like to point out that this is mentioned on the createitem page on the wiki.

+1 for gui/hack-wish, though - you only need to run "gui/hack-wish" with a unit selected (or it might be bound to a key as well).

I really should have named it something better.

...Actually, not too late, is it? gui/create-item to parallel gui/liquids might be nice.

Isn't there already a gui/create-item or was that in one of the other repositories I sifted through while figuring out how to artifake stuff?

Another suggestion:
A build up of the current DF hack Construction menu addon to support the construction of 'polygonal' walls and fortifications, as well as roads.

A player would select points and DFHack automatically creates construction orders to connect them.
