Even after checking dev branch, you must checkout libraries/xml folder to master.
Every time I hear how complicated this thing is to build, I think there might be room for a DFhack Therapist ;)

Well, it's usually recommended to run "git submodule update" in the dfhack folder after switching branches unless you're working on structures. They should result in the same thing, unless we forget to update dfhack's library/xml submodule to point to the newest df-structures commit, but if you want to make sure you have the latest structures (potentially useful in a new version), "cd library/xml; git checkout master; git pull" should work, like you suggested.

There was a typo in the siegers' campfire code. When the fires went out, so did the game.

Not that hard : I managed to compile it without too much trouble. Now I'll see which modules works and which don't  :P

I have a "working" version. Should I upload it somewhere ? Not sure if it's a good idea to make this "public". But if I do this, you MUST assume that nothing will work correctly, and that using it will corrupt your saves (and your soul)

There's an unofficial r0 that was posted on the subreddit by someone who compiled it from the dev branch. I can't vouch for it or what is working in it. Seems a bit use-at-your-own-peril. I'm staying away from it. Especially considering that there's about to be a release with a laundry list of important fixes.

No problem, I'm fine waiting. I just saw the chatter and wasn't sure if someone had built a more stable/official version.

Patience. It's ready when it's ready. I want my workflow as much as anyone but I also don't want to chance corrupted saves. Until then, keep an eye on the thread with the rest of us! (:

Of course, this is to be taken with the usual grain of salt (i.e. very early experimental build, may crash randomly, may corrupt your saves, your binaries, your hard-drive, your soul, your firstborn, etc.).

DFHack confirmed to be... something? Something bad, like Rumplestiltskin crossed with a demon.
