I'm occasionally prodding a project to make similar maps in Python (with PIL), with the goal of making a standalone program or integrating with PyLNP - either way not requiring GIMP of Photoshop installed.

It's a slow process because I don't really know what I'm doing, but that's life sometimes... If anyone wants to help out, it's open at https://github.com/PeridexisErrant/DF-map-converter

Thanks, GFXiNXS! I generated a map and it looks great.

For some reason, the sites didn't work but it still looks cool.
