There is nothing. Utter nothing. Nothing that makes the cold vastness of empty interstellar space seem like a balls out carnival of ridiculous amounts of
stuff. Apart from this utter nothingness there are... well, truth be told, there are some things. Could be two things, could be one thing and an uncountable number of things. Hard to say. There's definitely some sort of...thing. If concepts like geometry or dead reckoning existed you might be able to say that there was an infinitely small sphere filled with 1,000,000 units of
raw power, or 1,000,000☼, or, for those who like their numbers a little shorter and sweeter, 1000K☼. The Kilo☼ would likely be the standard measurement of
raw power, if such a thing as measurements or standardization existed. As well as the
raw power filled sphere there are an unknowable number of amorphous
presences, possibly made out of nothing. You are one of those
presences.

So, back again. This time around, spurred by reading Create a Planet and fond memories of my early days on the forum, going through some of the God games of days past, I've decided to try my hand at YE OLDE BUILDE YE UNIVERSE AS PER HOW YOU LIKE ITE GOD_STLYE>. I believe that to correct, formal name of this particular subform of the forum game. Here's how its going to work. First of all, there's not going to be any character generation at the game's start. Things like names, bodies or alternate avatars of choice, spheres like Knowledge or Death or whathaveyou will all have to be acquired by your actions. Basically, everyone who wants to play controls one of the presences described above. To become something and to create somewhere to, well, exist in you will have to post actions and Bold them. *The hideous power of Wayward Device compels you bold your actions*. Sorry to have to use dark sorceries from ages unguessed at in even the fever dreams of mad prophets, but bolding actions is important.
Not to constrain what people get up to, but it might be an idea to seize some of that raw power if you want to say, make something. Or just because right now you seem to be made out of utter nothingness that somehow, on some tenuous basis, has some sort of order and organization to it.
Mechanically, things will be very simple. Actions, conflicts, events etc will be resolved with 2d6 because fuck you that's why I happen to like the bell curve and it makes me happy to think that people thousands of years ago rolled dice just like them, and that the only thing that stopped Romans playing, say, RTD in an actual forum was all that decadence. Bonuses and penalties to actions (either specific or general) will be acquired over the course of the game, along with everything else. Again, all that raw power may have something to do with it. As things progress we will move through various Ages (we will begin in the Age of Creation) named after... well, it'll depend on how things turn out. The game will end when the universe is either destroyed (in this case read totally disordered, as raw power cannot be created or destroyed, although there are a whole myriad of other options as well, like locking it away in a parallel yet inaccessible universe...anyway) or if things are locked into a perpetual cycle of some description.
Keeps track of your own stuff. I will look after all the stuff that ends up getting created, but its up to you to take care of whatever personal stuff your presence picks up along the way.
As a final note, the universe you create does not have to follow the rules of our known one in any way. You may shape things entirely to your will, provided you prove strong enough. Lastly, while there nothing stopping you being peaceful and benign, there's also nothing stopping you from interfering with the works of the other presences either. Let's get this thing started!
