So I spent nearly an hour trying to get back to the settlement (tried going east then south as the map suggested but there's so much crap in the way you have to go halfway across the map to the east before you can dream of going south) only for a random nogump to ambush me. I was so close too =(

So the troll is now over the hill to the south of the settlement. The "Mature Son of Nogump" is far to the SW by that built-up place, last I saw. I was spotting for everyone when I logged back in because I had no items, but I saw when Urist was taking me to the settlement there was a pile of items where I thought I died like 2 weeks ago, so I checked it out after the troll left and yup! Got all of my stuff back. Got the noobie gear, including the absolutely necessary compass, a frying pan and a bowl.

I considered joining Bay12 in this, as this is free, but the lack of progression for a free account is holding me back. I wanted to do weird stuff, but with skils capped at 20 I can't. Good luck at it, guys, anyway.

By "weird stuff" I meant to run a cave bug breeding program and take herds of them across other towns just for the lulz.
