If I learned one thing from history, war is good for the industry! Thus, for the good of our people, we must go forth and slaughter the foreigners.

Wait, why are we forced to answer his call for aid? And more importantly, why isn't the king making this decision? I mean, we're not the queen yet.
If you look a bit more into their setup you find that in truth your father wasn't really a king, but rather was just a king consort. This means that any bits of power he might have accumulated while king consort are immediately lost on the death of your mother, since they were simply held through her. At your mother's death he is immediately reduced from being a king consort back down to just being a normal baron, and any of the royal powers immediately descend upon the eldest living female heir, you.

That said I'm going to vote for negotiation, if only to give us the opportunity to insult a foreign diplomat prior to thrashing his army to pieces.

Elodie is Queen in all but name. She is only a princess until the formal coronation. Thecnically, Father is the regent, and his decisions supersedes her, but he thinks that babysitting the future queen is bad and so lets her do as she pleases, with a couple of exceptions (AKA, the crystal thing)

Of course, in English the proper title would have been Prince Consort. There's no such thing as a King that's not ruling.

According to wikipedia "king consort" is an alternative title to the more usual "prince consort". At this point it's only been officially used a few times in history but it does exist. (It's also one of the titles used in DF, which is probably why it came more readily to my mind).

On reflection, it probably is a reasonable style in a culture without sexist inheritance laws (which I assume we have what with all those reigning countesses running around trying to kill us).

It reminds me vaguely of Suikoden V now that I think about it.

Week 9 Continued: Princess Bait

And if they don't want a fight... well, that's what unconditional surrenders are for.

Hell if I remember.

Which we totally remember the location and political situation of.

WHEW. Here I was worried we'd pissed him off, turns out we just agreed to marry him.

Here you go with your smiles at weird situations again.

Can't it be both?

Is the Duke of Sedna someone we've met before? I mean, since the game's been going on.

So I was looking over the information we've gained from internal affairs.

Spoiler:  Relevant Info (click to show/hide)

Is the Duke of Maree in the process of manipulating a little girl to gain power? Probably.

Indeed. This man seems like he's an ass.

However, we better tell him the truth here. We just like pretty things!

Posting to watch.

Girls certainly like pretty things, and we cannot disclose anything that might indicate marital affiliations. Also, is there anyway to obtain new clothes? A school uniform is not the outfit of a proper lady.
