As for the debate about gelatinous cubes engulfing, don't forget that outside of Nethack, wraith-eating doesn't increase your level, so if we leave out the part that gelatinous cubes can't engulf, why not that part too? Secondly, Roc CURIOUSBEAST_EATER rolled poorly and didn't spend any points to warp the rules.
