You do realize that any scenario that doesn't imply Imperial victory means EXTERMINATUS.

Does a single chapter have the firepower to bring EXTERMINATUS?

Battle Barges are most often capable of entacting Exterminatus. It of course depends on the Chapter in question, since some might not have Battle Barges at all, but you're looking at at least one per Chapter.

Well, Space Wolves have like eight Battle Barges.
Although, if we're following the recent canon, let's better leave Space Wolves, as they're going to have to deal with their own problems.

Oh yeah, the 13th got reunited or something in war zone fenris #1 or something hey.

For about ten thousand years in the middle there they were trapped in the warp and full of wulfen. Hence the wulfen.

Any other "lost in the warp" chapters or companies?

Kinda funny how they managed to save some time for a grand ceremony declaring girlyman lordmanperson of maccrage during the middle of a massive chaos siege.

Also, a fun thought: apparently yvraine was able to ressurect some rubric marines when ahriman tried to capture her. Assuming these marines only have memories up to the time they became rubric marines, does that mean ahriman suddenly has a handful of loyalist thousand sons marines with him?

In another note, I kinda wish there was more night lords stuff, mostly because they're my favorite renegade chapter. They got the alpha legion thing of having no real central organization, work as mercenaries just because they can, aren't exactly super fond of any chaos god or even chaos mutations, are a legion full of psychotic batmans, etc.

true stories from my days as translator and editor:

Marneus Calgar is kneeling in a garden praying to the God-Emperor, an iron halo on his head, while his twelve honorguard marines stand by him, until he rises and leads them to the gates of the city...

really?

1. It was a trick and the "life essence" only stayed around for a short period
2. The rubric of Ahriman was post-burning of prospero, which was basically when they all declared for chaos

She has love for the emperor.
She has hatred for things, which emperor does not like.

Figured I'd mention, Eternal Crusade implemented it's F2P option today. It's not free to WAAAGGGHH anymore, you can play a basic class from any faction. You get reduced experience and cap out early compared to the full game. I've been watching the game for a while and decided I'd check it out.

Ominously though, the servers have been down constantly today because they weren't ready for the influx of new players. :\
