:o
Are ballistas illegal?  Or catapults, given the apparent abundance of rock?

I see no reason they shouldn't be. Except that we're apparently an anarcho-capitalist commune with no projects designed fr communal defense apparently. If we're gonna play like that, every dwarf should have a crossbow at all times.

I'm going to say siege weapons are fair game but only on noble properties.

Damn... Dodok Silverclear looks like my kind of dwarf. A total jackass (and terrible manager.)

I wish I had the time to play. :( Would take glassworker or ceramicist.

Ill take altath pk 'Chambercages' and he will make a fine proficient animal trainer with skill in the leathercrafting as well.

(5) animal training
(3) leather crafting
and a side of either bone crafting or butchering, tanning.

Wow that makes this really suck. See, it turns out that in 4.17 smelting was completely broken and I didn't know this while doing all the preparations. I struck earth moments ago and noticed 4.18 immediately after. So I'm going to regen (same seed) but that means we need to pick dwarves again.
