So is there a way to just summon a specific category of demon if you don't happen to have any names? How much granularity is there? Can you just make your summoning circle specify some pleb with cooking skills because you need a sandwich? Or do you just have to hope that you don't accidentally summon The Hallowed Lord of Murder Boners? How far into a steel plate can the summoning penetrate?

It depends on how many people you have, how much combined effort you all (or just yourself) can provide, and how big you prepare it. So don't, say, set things up for Aglasis the Mighty if you can only provide enough for Craig the lesser demon.
Because then you probably die.
The actual favors they're willing to provide varies a lot and asking for a sandwich will get you some rolled eyes, but lessers that don't charge anything usually provide if you caught them in a good mood.
Summoning the Hallowed Lord of Murder Boners is strictly impossible without a very specific offering. Don't worry.
It works anywhere as long as you do it right. But don't inside, like, a church, because then you'll die.

You know what this means, don't you? The Vertex can be easily stopped by having everyone in Mio's world RPing all of the time. That way there won't be any gap in which they can attack since they care too much about interrupting RP. The plan is foolproof. Absolutely foolproof.
