Alright, so I can count on any RotMGv3 characters whose players are in Trespassers, as well as Amber, Sachi, Yuri and Isaac. Well......I'd rather wait for any more volunteers, as I don't want the characters purely to be RWBY or RotMGv3. :P

Of course, Twin is neither man nor woman but an unholy eldritch abomination like every other Bay12er. The difference is they hide it better.

I'm not implying he knows how, but he has the power and foundations to do it, if he knew of those methods.

An axe isn't a pick, I fully understand, but LUM Is a pretty ripped dude who happens to only have axe experience. To put it to analogy.

No, you don't understand.

As in, it's not an axe and a pick. It's an axe and a spatula. Completely different disciplines, even if the results are the same.

Well, it's more complicated than it sounds. I was on vacation and as such only on the forums for brief periods of time so unable to pay that much attention, and largely cut off from the planning I saw people heading in two directions and incorrectly assumed (for multiple turns as I was laying no attention because vacation) that there were two groups forming and I would be supported
not so

Well, I suppose I should explain LUM's method, so neither of us get confused in the future, LUM breaches into "Realm of --" and with bitty slimes, he has gone there, diplomacised, done astral trips through 3rd parties and generally smoozed his way into 100% friendship values with the inhabitants of slime dimension. From there he breaches and summons slimes with a safety switch to transpose them back after 1 hit, no matter what.

So he COULD summon from any -location- but that is as far as his experience goes for now.

hmm
that is surprisingly deep method
Also, being dimensional shenanigans, there's probably even more to it than it seems

Yep. Definitely not going to be able to summon Youma. Unless he wants to try his luck and end up being stabbed to death by violent, evil spirits who're happy to continue their rampage in the world of the living, which he can't just banish back to the afterlife without killing them or knowing a very long and complicated sealing method which only tends to be used for stronger Youma.

And of course when you summon ONE of them, tons more tend to try to squash into the small gate which you just opened into the afterlife because they want to get out.

There IS a method to NOT get attacked by Youma when they're summoned, but that in itself is a wholly different discipline. There's a reason why Takatora said that there's only about twelve people in the city who have the ability to summon Youma like that; you need to know a lot of stuff to do it safely.

Unless he was in a science pod being forced to do it in a controlled manner.

That would explain the mech+magic.

Except he can't control how many he summons, only how long he keeps the gate open. If he even opens a small gate to Yomi, he risks summoning at least a few before he can close the gate.

Slimes are different; they're neither interested in getting out nor do they hold a grudge against the world of the living. Youma are more or less zerg-rushing the gates of Hell trying to get out constantly.

Nah, I mean they open a portal into a science room trap. Ghostbusters style.

when Emp writes fanfiction, which is to say, probably never
I don't suppose writing something at random and assigning the people involved the names and aesthetics of random fictional characters count? :P

Anyone else? I need a list so I can compile it just in case I do decide on the protagonists basically running a jailbreak on the afterlife because the situation's crossed the Godzilla Threshold.
How does that work cosmology-wise? As in, they're from their own universes, so how do all the dead end up in the exact same place, especially when some settings have their own afterlives? Would trying to commune with the dead from one world via necromancy risk just contacting someone from another universe entirely? What about settings where there are no souls, and where only oblivion awaits after death?

Also, what's to stop the PCs from just breaking out far more overpowered characters?
