i can support that

as far as magical boys: it depends on the setting, tbh (i keep saying this.) In the "default" Magical Burst setting it's implied they aren't a thing, and offers several potential explanations for why. (The two that come to mind are 1. males simply aren't magical and 2. males that take a contract become female)

I'm in favor of a single-gender system.  Because single-gender system has more room for character plotitudinous stuff.
