B, yeah, last I checked we where still kinda-sorta fighting a war alongside them. Granted, the part we signed up for is mostly over, adn last we heard theirs was mostly wrapped up, but still.

You decide to meet with Ceodwellian envoy first.

"Greetings, King Yoe! My lord and king, Ceodwell X, was most pleased to hear that you agree to have your daughter marry his son. For this, he wrote a guarantee that says his nation to be damned if the contract is broken by his family or nobles." The envoy moves up to your throne and hands you the scroll. Ceodwell X must like you very much if he is risking such a guarantee for almost fifteen years - after all, one unfortunate accident plus one uppity cousin and things might turn ugly very quickly.

A) "Tell your master I am deeply moved by his kind gesture. You may now go."
B) "If he trusts us so much, let us do the same! I will give him a written guarantee of my own in return for this!"
