You name him Doge, after an archaic forms of Doga and Dogethe.

Next day, you learn that the statesmen, and especially Commissioner of Trade, have accepted Gubtan spices. The Trade Commission managed to wrangle best prices for Methiant, which made them less than stellar in eyes of the Gubtan traders.

"My Lady Empress," The Commissioner begins as you audience him in your chambers. "Spices, unlike gold or wine, do not come in great quantities. Should we sell them, to our lower classes of craftsmen and merchants, who are aplenty, or to the nobles, who will pay more for them?"

A) "We must appease the people!"
B) "Noble coin is the best coin!"

True. But our sources of happiness recently have mostly been glasswares, now exported to Ysirene, or our Tiftit Springwine, and goodness only knows what the monster attack did there.
