Hey !

Sorry for my english. I try to be better, so, for the moment, it's not the best.

Once upon a time, 50 years before Jesus Christ, all of the Gaule is occupied. All ? No, because a little gaulish town resist against invaders !

It's a play with differents rules :
- make a true gaulish town (with wood walls and wood houses)
- make cheese (because ... french, I guess)
- striking everybody, because gaulish guy like fight

It's a story of a dwarf, who can run and travel far !
In his fabulous epic, we follow, a beer in hand !

We are the dwarves under the mountain!
We dig the day, we drink at night.
And we does not like guys from the surface!

One day, my ancestor Gurdil has been sent for digging in the forest,
There was supposedly plenty of mythril.
Where it was precisely, nobody knows!
Gurdil built his cabin at the edge of a bushy wood,
populated by wooden elves!
People who eat greenery ...
Obviously, it does not make good neighbors!

We are the dwarves under the mountain!
We dig the day, we drink at night.
And we does not like guys from the surface!

And no ... go for the play !
For the beginning party I didn't sent nothing for the skill. My Leader One take the surname of Gurdil, father of all dwarves.
I take a lot of seeds, because I need to have many farms : I need to make alcool. I prefer wine, but beet is a good starting plot.
After that, I take a lot of bunnies. For food and meat. It's a easy way for having good food. 15 males, 15 females.
For the end, I take a cow and a bull, for making bull-warbeast, and a lot a cheese.

I plane to fight with everybody, like merchants. It's a safe for having war (yes ?) and good stuff (... no ? Why ?).

For the first summer, I build a "big" wood house, with two carpentory stands, the fishery, a dorminatory and meeting room.
I need to make more bedroom for the first dwarf.

I make wooden weapons ... Dawn will be red !

My bad, I assumed the french celts were pretty much limited to brittany and a bit in the north of spain. Maybe I have not learnt very well my history lessons, but french people do not see themselves as celts, like the irish or the britanny people do

The cekts were the ancestors of most of norhtern Europe. Some of them went north and became vikings, many stayed in France and became French, and a large number decided to see what was over the sea, and populated the British isles. The languages Welsh, Scots Gallic, old Irish, Proto-English, and French are all related, since they were just some similar tribes that split up. Modern English, however, is more German. Bloody Germans... Eating sausages... Drinking beer... Living near huge castles... Corrupting the English...
I forgot where I was going with all that.
I didn't know that the French were like that, though. It's probably the fact that mainland Europe evolved differently, but the link is there.

but ...
At the end of my year, I can sent the save for continuing the game if you want,
for a celtic-gaulish rulership of a Asterix's fortress.
But no bretons or chocolatine's guy. We need purity ^^.

May I suggest other rules for style points ?

- You may only eat boars.
- You may eat fish as well, but you should let the fish rot. Your dwarves prefer boars.
- Have your shortest dwarf and your fattest dwarves in militia. They must be your strongest warriors. Fat dwarf wrestles, tiny one uses sword.
- You must have a  brewer druid to make some booze magic potion. Only him knows the secret to make it.
- The potion should be used sparingly. Only when goblins Romans attack, to enhance you warriors habbilities.
- The fat dwarf from before cannot drink any potion !
- Assign a dog to the fat dwarf.
- Have only one bard playing music and singing songs. But don't let him become to skilled. Find ways to punish him when he starts performing.
- Eventually, DFHack a little to make the fat dwarf always hungry.
