"Well, she still helps MPMH combat. So it is just a matter of getting used to her."
"MPMH, I am so sorry Milly. Completely forgot about MPMH food, 42, you said you wanted to be in charge of that; so do you mind to MPMH our guest something to eat?"

"You what?!"

Yliss turns towards 42-1 with a sudden swirl, as if the situation was so dire that not even a fraction of a yoctosecond should be wasted.

"You! Cook! Now! I'll help you! No ifs and buts! No one stays hungry for an entire week under my watch!"

Then, she steps next to Serena and looks down to her.

"Praise be with you, oh noble and divine goddess Serena. Now hand over some fish and sea vegetables to cook, please!"

Milly waves her hands about frantically.
"N-no, that's really not necessary! I-I can wait until he and your other friends are less busy!"

Serena huffs petulantly at being requested to dispense food.
"What do you think I am, a walking fishery? Ugh, fine, since you asked nicely. Sacred Ocean's Blessing!"
Serena snaps her fingers dismissively, and a small basket full of high-quality fish- to the avid fishwatcher, easily identified as the Penultian blue-bellied loach, some of the most prized fish to Generian chefs, known for its delicious, soft meat and a favourite delicacy of adventurers at the front in Penultia-, perfectly dried seaweed and perfectly prepared kelp appears.
"Before you ask, I can't just cast that willy-nilly. Mom would kill me if I kept doing that for mortals; you people are supposed to have free-will and all that and not rely on us Goddesses spoonfeeding you."
Her eyes are now suddenly on Milly, studying the merchant.

[SirAston]

"Well, it's fine for rare emergencies, right?"
"... And this is a rare emergency. Thank you for understanding."

She then walks up to 42-1.

[Sirus]

Under his calm face, 42-1 was panicking. He had failed! He got distracted by talking and forgotten to perform his duties! Oh, if his old master hadn't exploded and could see this. He didn't deserve a new master!

He bowed extra-low anyway, figuring that if he was going to have any second chance at all he'd have to go for broke.

: "Miss Milly, my most sincere apologies. I will prepare some food for you straight away. That said, I do not know how to make sushi, so someone else will have to assist if such is desired. Miss Yliss, perhaps?"

"N-no, really, 42-1, it's fine, you didn't do anything wrong! I-I can finish helping you first, I-I don't need to eat right this instant!"

[SirAston]

"Yes, you need to, Milly. I am sorry for making you uncomfortable..."
"But in my vision of an ideal world, hunger can go eat a fat one!"

She looks to the homunculus afterwards.

"I could, but I think we are lacking in rice. That said, we can still make a fast sashimi with sea vegetables salad as an appetizer and then cut the rest of the fish in smaller pieces to cook some, fry some others and smoke what's left for rations."
"That said, I can already tell this is some great fish and vegetables. Wouldn't be surprised if this is the best Generia has to offer."
"Just you watch, Milly, I will bring you to tears with how awesome your dishes will be."
"Lead the way, 42-1!"

_{"Okay, then, if you're willing to g-go to all that effort for someone you just met, I suppose...."}
Milly meekly retreats into herself, more than a little bit embarassed.

Serena huffs at the idea that her stuff might not be the best.
"Of course it's the best Generia has to offer. I am a Goddess, after all. Speaking of which, why am I even helping this stranger, aside from my gracious nature as a Goddess?"

[Sirus]

: "Miss Serena, this is Miss Milly, a merchant who has agreed to join us with her wagon. Miss Milly, Miss Serena. Please excuse us."

The homunculus led the way into the tavern and sought out the operator.

: "My sincere apologies but we need to use your kitchen. It's an emergency."

Serena's eyes follow Milly suspiciously as she's kinda swept along.

The bartender lifts his eyebrow at 42-1.
"Okay, whoa, stop there, mate. You can't just commandeer my kitchen like you own the place."

[SirAston]

Yliss looks straight into the bartender's eyes.

"That's why he politely asked you, friendo."

She puts the basket on the bar and presents one of the fishes, still staring at him.

"Look at this, if you know anything about fish, it's probably one of the finest things you have ever laid eyes upon."
"Do you suggest we should prepare such a divine ingredient in a lowly field kitchen set?"

After that, Yliss takes a deep breath.

"If we would be allowed to use your kitchen, I'll repay you for your generousity, too."

The bartender is pretty jaded and completely unfazed by Yliss.
"Lady, I don't know tits-all about fish, I just serve 'em to the yobs who come in 'ere every Friday to throw me chairs around because the referee's blind and doesn't see that Van Olsen's fakin' that knee injury!"

Then the mention of monetary compensation. He scoffs, pointing his thumb back at the hooligans barely restraining themselves from throwing furniture, another goal being scored against Batali United, currently standing at two goals down.

"Better make this good if you're gon' shut down my kitchen. I don't wanna be the unfortunate man explaining that they ain't gettin' no food because some elf and some Revivian-looking lass stole the kitchen."

[Sirus]

: "Thank you, sir. We will not be long."

42-1 moves into the kitchen and looks around. What is available?

Gnome Jenkins still seemed to be hanging around Serena. "Having a merchant to hand will be gnice."
