"Please do prepare a dossier. If she isn't suitable for the position of Crusader General, I would still like to have her on hand in another role."

"Are you sure, Pheobe? I calculated that you would lose a considerable amount of respect and affection for her after reading it. It may harm your future social interactions with her."

Whatever happened to the Pontifex, anyway? I wonder if he survived.

The null gives you a nod, slipping a patchwork collection of documents from a locked drawer in the desk. He extends it to you, and you take it with a nod.

"Wow... those are indeed many crimes. In general, however, it's best to have these sort of plotters close, where they can be kept an eye on, rather than far away. Please summon her to the fortress."

"Did the Pontifex, Xavier Mack, and Tyler Hop survive the destruction of the Holy City?"

I would rather leave her where she is and go out and meet with her with our bodyguards.  Sends a better message if we show up in force and will not take her away from duties to organize the steelworks.

Yeah, maybe we should just leave her at a distance. I had no idea she committed so many crimes.

I... kind of expected as much, honestly. You don't get a name like "Black Nicky" for nothing.
Her dealings with the Pontifex, I was not expecting. I can't help but wonder... how much did she know of his plans towards SEED? Was she playing us from both sides?

Regardless... no summons, for now. Definitely no promotion.

"...Thank you."

"Tyler Hop, as far as we know, was not with the evacuation. The Pontifex was also not present -- the Guardians we had posted to monitor him did not report back. Xavier Mack is confirmed dead." The null pauses, tapping something into the computer. "Xavier Mack helped with the evacuation after insuring his family's safety, before returning to the western side of the City to help the combined forces there." Zero explains quietly, monotone.

"His daughter, Lauren Mack, is our selection for Guardian Minister. She's not the most experienced member of the remaining force -- but all of them threatened to resign if she was not given the title." Zero looks over a paper, continuing, "So, for the sake of balance and to discourage that line of thinking, we made William Thornton the Internal Affairs Minister. A good compromise."

"Understood. I am ready to give my announcement as to the new Crusader General. Would now be an appropriate time?"

There will be need of a gathering, I imagine... an hour or so to prepare, perhaps?
