You ask the man to tell you about the ores and the rocks he has found so far.
7!*
He explains in detail the ore and the rocks he has found, their colors and granulate, the sediment and the size of rocks.
You two descend into half-conversation, half-comparison of your vast geological knowledge, and you realize you have found a common spirit in this literate and passionate prospector.
The awed scholars present in the throne room do nothing but gawk as two geniuses enjoy a moment together. Truly, they say, our King is a 'Loremaster'
* of infinite knowledge!
"Reward this man greatly!" You shout at the courtiers, who scurry away to get some delicious foods and expensive clothes for the prospector. "This man has found gold in them hills, and thanks to him alone, our economy shall prosper!"
You send money, supplies and workers along with the man to begin the mining operation.
You gonna be rich!
501 AD, Summer
The mining operations in the Rodigo hills have begun. The prospector-turned-manager has sent a report in which he claims that first loads of gold bullion should arrive next Spring.
501 AD, Autumn
"So the Deists want funds?" The Advisor bows his head in response.
"More like they want to refurbish their temples with the stained glass and golden chandeliers stolen and sold by the Tyrant, my liege. He has taken a lot of valuable items from the temples and executed the temple-masters. I think we should consider their request for monetary help. A poor Temple of the Deities is mockery upon their image, after all." You know of this.
Compared to the Spiritualists, the Deists' temples are far more elaborate and fancy. It reflects the dualism of the regional faiths; Spirits for private, modest worship, Deities for public, grandiose worship.
When you want to have a nice day or to experience just a bit of luck in romance, you sacrifice food and small trinkets to your ancestors and natural spirits. When you have to win a war or lessen the burden of a disaster, you placate the Deities with splendid festivals and donations of valuable hoards.
This has been this way since five hundredy years ago, when the intermediaries, the Angels, were cast down, this tyranny vanquished and the road paved for the common man to pray to the divine forces directly.
"My liege?" The Advisor shakes you from your lore delving moment. "Shall we sponsor refurbishment of the big Deist temples in Remoria?"
A) "That is way too much for our feeble Treasury!"
B) "We will donate only some to renovate the biggest temple there is - the one in the capital."
C) "Of course! They can have all the money they need. Last thing we need is angry Deities coming over in anger and rage.
