I'm still not 100% sure why there's a flirt option there anyway, is it there for laughs or is there more to it?

Because at the start of the game there was a choice of preprogrammed conversational styles that we could pick our character to start with, with the idea that different ones would work well on different customers. Chatty and flirty won so that's why we always have those two options  (Indeed, you voted for flirty so I'm sure you know all that ). As for there being something more to it, well depends on what you think of the fact that it's not Arnold making up the chatty or flirty lines, they are produced by a chip in his brain that prompts him with them at appropriate times. Only the white lines are what Arnold himself actually comes up with and are related to his actual personality and thoughts. I think it's an interesting reference into the quiet horror of Arnolds backstory as a mass produced slave android. It's also interesting to me because this is a very in universe thing that's happening, and some of the characters we interact with know that's how the freed drones work and have recognized the lines as preprogrammed ones.

I don't actually think of that as a difference! To me, the chip is also part of his personality, just like the obscure references I make are part of my personality even if they originate externally.
