I decided to give this a go
my dwarven peasant necromancer was ambushed by bandits a few hours after he animated a dragon corpse

true story too, except there was also a crossbowman, but I don't like drawing those

"Sensual tightnesses," eh?

Sounds like virginal vaginas.

Decided to get back to Adventure Mode, after a long time.
5 minutes later, I added another card to my collection

Here's a screenshot of the action

Ohman, dwarf fortress seriously needs a card game. Do you have a template for that, Kastrol?

About the template, I need to make a proper one, I just copy pasted everything, have no real "template". Also I need to remember where  do I found the DF font xD

An ilustrated DF bestiary would indeed be awesome.

Why are goblins and elves referred to as "medium sized" when in the raws they're the same size as dwarves?

They are medium sized too.  Humans are too, in a move that remind me of D&D, personally.  I distinctly remember seeing a graph and explaination of creature sizes, and humanoids between (don't quote me) 3 1/2 feet and 6 1/2 feet were medium.  As opposed to a gnome/hobbit or a yeti/apeman

For me, I'd say 7ft and taller = large, adults being 4.5 feet or shorter = small.

It's just that if dwarves are "short" but the other creatures are "medium sized," why are humans the odd ones out in clothing sizes?

The body size is in cubic centimeters; although elves and goblins could be roughly the same height as humans, they are much lankier, and have the same overall volume as dwarves. Clothing size doesn't respect a given individual's height or width, but their total volume. And I beleive anything within ~5000cc of a creature's own volume may be worn. Don't quote me on that, though; I only noticed that my dwarves are able to wear clothing made for a larger modded race that is 65000cc. Which makes me wonder whether humans are also able to wear Paklaran clothing.

How much more body is in 10,000 cm3 anyway? No one could be that lanky, surely

Use this if you have conversion issues.

Use cylinders for humanoids.

I think this is as good as I can find, but I inquired with a friend, so I'll see if he drops something better. . .

Edit:  This was in an image search for 70000cm^3 :)

This is what I got from him: http://dungeons.wikia.com/wiki/SRD:Table_of_Creature_Size_and_Scale
