What's Pathos?

Everyone is Pathos.

Or, for those new to the forum, Pathos was a dude who got banned a few years back. He would pull off all sorts of shenanigans, including a thread in the life advice section so mind-numbingly WTF-inducing that I don't even want to say the thread title is. He was freqently muted or temp-banned for similarly weird things, including an imaginary abusive girlfriend who would supposedly take his computer to post weird stuff, before having his main account perma-banned for one of them. He was found to have a rather large number of sockpuppet accounts; many of whom he continued to use for months; sometimes apologizing, sometimes just random shenanigans, but usually being found relatively quickly. I think his last one we know of was effectively to post he was leaving, never to return... and that's the last we heard of him, so far as we know.

The sheer number and length of time for which the sockpuppetry went on has thus spawned a philosophy within the lower forums. You are the only sentient being on Earth. Everyone else is a Pathos-zombie (p-zombie, for short).

Actually, everybody is Pathos. That includes all the guys who are secret mantises and the one guy who's not.

Some people just don't realise it though.
