Benchmarks: Bloodifst (7x7 map, +/- 40 dwarves + tons of wildlife and scattered garbage.)

Old = No intro, and [PP:YES:100]
New = Followed instructions exactly.

Old
MIN: 21
MAX: 25
AVE: 23
   New
MIN: 21
MAX: 25
AVE: 23

Benchmarks: Wavehandle (5x5 no major losses, 85 dwarves, and rather well-sorted. Only plenty of carp to worry about.)

Old
MIN: 34
MAX: 45
AVE: 35
   New
MIN: 32
MAX: 36
AVE: 35

All this, of course, using my Bloodfist and Wavehandle fort maps as reference. Latest saves, of course.

System: Windows Vista 32
It worked, but there was no difference. Then again, my computer is a bit of a monster to be able to handle the Bloodfist's production in the first place.

Holy frack it worked! Thank you for the "extreme hack" :)

I love my FPS being capped again.

Partial print works, but I fear the accelerator doesn't.

3x3 fort, 45 dwarves, Windows XP, windowed screen.

No tileset (640x300, curses_640x300.bmp)
[PARTIAL_PRINT:NO:2] ~28 fps
[PARTIAL_PRINT:YES:2] ~31 fps
[PARTIAL_PRINT:YES:0] ~31 fps
[PARTIAL_PRINT:YES:0] + Accelerator ~31 fps

Tileset (1280x400, mayday.bmp)
[PARTIAL_PRINT:YES:0] + Accelerator ~31 fps

Haven't tried it yet, but I'm going to. Looks awesome for until d# gets implemented.

Core 2 Quad 2.8
Windows XP SP2 x64

Almost no difference. FPS is better when paused, but lower when unpaused. And i don't like this shade of blue.

Core 2 duo @ 3GHZ
Windows 7 64-bit
Nvidia 260 GTX

Works Great, 30-60% increase in speed.
Also, i'm not getting any visual differences (I.e. This "Blue Shift" people are talking about)

I know it's unrealistic, but I can't help but imagine little bearded babies for dwarves. In my mind, they come out of the womb fully bearded. That's how the mother carries them around, too, she just drags them around by the beard or ties it to her belt. When the father's on duty, he just ties their beards together and the baby just kind of hangs there, swinging to and fro with Urist McDaddy's movements.

From 30-40 FPS to over 100 FPS. You, sir, are a genius.

This doesn't work at all for me.

When I put opengl32.dll in my dorf folder the game crashes on startup. I get the fullscreen prompt and after I click either yes or no it says tells me "dwarfort.exe has stopped working"

Using Vista32 by the way, anyone else having this problem?

The file goes in the same folder as dwarfort.exe right?
Try turning INTRO off in the init.

It does the exact same thing for me (the crash report says that the crash occured in opengl32.dll), except for the lack of a fullscreen prompt since I have it set to be windowed, and INTRO isn't on. (Using XP SP3, with a graphics set with the worldgen crash fix applied to it)

I tried changing most of the options in the init file, but nothing made it work, so... Yeah, it's completely FUBAR here.

Windows XP, ATI Graphics card
1-year old fortress, population 33, very few buildings/tunnels, lots of water flow

Old: 37 - 40 FPS
New: 38 - 46 FPS

Blue tint in graphics using normal color scheme, no tint using tango scheme and slight FPS increase.
My low FPS is probably due to water flow rather than graphics, which is why there seems to be only a marginal FPS increase.

This stuff makes my FPS damn well near 0 from previously ~80 FPS with a 4x4 embark and 19 dorfs. If this is what the merge is going to be like, I'm scared. So scared.

When I try to use this accelerator it looks like I just tried to catch missingno in pokemon blue version in that the whole screen turns super glitchy. I'm using phoebus' graphics pack though, and I have a pretty old system, XP btw.
