Sleep apnea, maybe? Or something related. I'd suggest talking to a doctor or setting up an appointment with a sleep clinic, if you can afford it. I've had some relatives lose people to that, hrm.

I get something really wierd similar to sleep paralysis really often. When I'm really close to nodding off I get a pressing pain in my brain, that continues until I wake up again. It's 100% mental, hurts like a bugger and I have no clue what it is.
