Huh. You're right. For some reason my page had the News tab highlighted like I was on it, but when I clicked around it reverted.

Yeah, should be on the base Soul tab.

We have 450 defense now.

And the range is from 390 to 455.
I doubt it'll end in the high range though.

So we will be zombie free for another day :P

What defenses have you guys used?

I'm trying to plan out a good upgrade path for my town (on day 4).

We're a bit limited by a lack of nuts and bolts, sadly.

Speaking of which, has anyone built Ramparts or Cannon Mounds? I'm curious to know what structures those allow.

upgradable Wall def 15 ap 65 plank x5 wrought x20  cement x1    
Spiked Wall def 50 ap 3 beam x2 wrough x9 bolts and nuts x4

We have produced:

Armour Plating +12 defence
Moat +45 defence
Great Wall Strengthening +7 defence
Old-school Traps +30 defence
Watchtower +3 defence (Upgraded to 6 zones)

Lure +10 defence (Only for today)

Our first potential casualty: someone's gone and gotten himself lost WAAAY out North and he doesn't have the action points to get back. He's begging for someone to bring him booze or drugs over the forum. BOOZE? DRUGS? I'm guessing it's to take his mind off of his impending doom?

Our town... will make it to Day 8 with 33 survivors. Amazing, really. Shades... why'd you have to die?

Really glad I had the chance to read some of this thread before hopping into the game; I would've been doing some seriously stupid stuff if I hadn't. The level of teamwork and coordination is refreshing, compared to most other browser-based games I've played (even if that does create the potential for Transformice-style disaster).

I'm PrimeRib in-game, currently in Reservoirs of Skulls. It would be pretty sweet if kulik could add everyone's in-game names to the original post (I see akhier is in the same town as me, but I haven't recognized anyone else since combing through 74 pages of posts is a bit much).

Cool, make sure to not upgrade your house to much or else you get the boot. Also I have been hearing things about Coalitions and was wondering if there was a bay12 one?

Unfortunately coalitions can only have 5 people in them. I think so far we've only had one hero and their coalition filled pretty much immediately. Apparently though, you don't need to stay a hero to keep the coalition, just be one to make it initially.

The moment the lever was pulled, somebody's pet kitten stepped onto the bridge. I read somewhere that if a cat falls more than 11 stories, it instinctively flares its legs out to increase air resistance. This slows it down enough to stick the landing with relatively minor injuries. In Dwarf Fortress, apparently, cats don't do that.
