You know what's disturbing about this thread? 

Not the fact that the topic is about how to properly gouge a victim's eyes out.

It's the replies from the people who have already tried on such a level that they took the time to research it and find out that it is bugged.

Eye tissue has a heal time of 100, compared to 2000 for bones and 6000 for nerves. Its a known fact irl that eyes are crazy-fast healing, and since DF lacks the ability to destroy eyes utterly, they will keep regrowing on you.

So can eyes that have been damaged too much to function heal and even work again, or should Toady put more nerves to be permanently damaged in the eyes?

You're meant to be able to pop 'em out. like guts, but it don't work that way.

The problem is that eyes are probably treated as one mass of uniform tissue, meaning that you can't destroy them beyond repair, whereas in real life, even if the tissue heals easily there is obviously still plenty of damage you can do that can't be fixed.

I have no idea what sort of pain they would go through to get their eyes ripped out.

Are you talking about the 2nd "Meatgod" one?  The one with the children and the modded body parts?  That one was almost as hilarious as it was horrifying.

It'd be pretty lame if it was just Obok Meatgod's final act of evil. That was several pages back last time I checked before the thread vanished iirc.

I could understand Toady not wanting taboo activities associated with his game, but I'd be disappointed in the community if squeamish posters killed the thread.

I guess I can describe what I remember of it.  DO NOT READ THIS IF YOU'RE EASILY OFFENDED (or capable of being offended at all).

He rescued some children from a goblin fortress, then went out with them as his army to slaughter the elves.  Through elven attacks and wolf ambushes, their numbers dropped.  One of them fell into a pool, and he stood there and watched until he drowned.

By the time he was done killing every elf in the world, he was down to two children.  He only wanted one, so he beat one to death with a demon's skull.  He then went into the raws and added...certain organs to his race and her race.  The original poster didn't say which ones, but I think we can all guess.  His was [LIMB] and [GRASP], hers was [JOINT] and [EMBEDDED].

He grabbed her left leg with his right leg (older wrestling mechanics), her right leg with his left leg, and her new organ with his new organ.  Then he locked it.  And broke it.  Then, he gouged until she bled to death.  He deleted the save file and emptied his recycle bin.

The next few pages of the thread were people talking about how horrible it was, until a few people talked about maybe adding a certain "secretion" to the man's body part.  It kind of went downhill from there.
