My, thank you for posting this.  I got back into the Sims 3 fairly recently, but the fact that it's still such a laggy disaster on my machine has been making me mull over reinstalling my old copy of the Sims 2 for the last few weeks.  The big thing that was stopping me was the notion of digging out over half a dozen CDs and their associated CD keys.

I downloaded the Origin client and booted it up just to redeem this.  I feel like I need a shower now.  But it works.

Deal is good until 31 July, apparently, according to The Internet.  No idea how accurate that is, so get it quick if you want it.

These are well worth the effort if you're an old school fan. Especially Daggerfall.
