I've been trying to buy terraria for the last 30 minutes, but i always have a problem. Whenever i hit "purchase for my self" the screen just goes blank. Should i just wait a while and try again?

Heads don't drop meteorite anymore.

People keep talking about Meteorite Picks and Flamarangs requiring Meteorite Bars.  Did I miss, essentially, everything that Meteorite can make?  Does it require an unusual crafting location?  I've only seen the Meteorite Armor (pass, too little defense), the Meteorite Hamaxe (20 damage? pass), and the phaseblades (21 damage? pass).  I suspect that the star cannon is still made from Meteorite, but never bought the mini-shark to confirm.  Instead, I went for the next tier of equipment and got all the Hellstone equipment.  Which given that everything in the Hellstone tier is Molten or Fiery I'm expecting the Flamarang to require more Hellstone Bars than I have left.

I honestly don't see the attraction to the ball O' hurt. It's the weakest mace...

So, to kill time until I can get the game, I've busily been designing blueprints for various megaprojects (though I doubt I'll ever be able to top the Terravania on p7).

Currently got a wizard's tower around 80% complete (need to tweak some things and build the dungeon), and have been working on a rendition of the Scarlet Devil Mansion (>30% complete: The garden and foyer are done, the library and main halls are in progress); I'll probably throw up some pics when I'm done.

Those little orb-lamps at (for instance) the entrance of the dungeon- what are those called, and where all can you get/how do you craft them?

Also, can chandeliers and such be made to hang lower than one block from the ceiling they're attached to?

Errr.... What. Why would you skip the hamaxe because it's not made to deal damage? It saves a slot where a hammer axe would go, you can have the hamaxe and an extra stack of potions or something.

You can make background walls out of obsidian and/or Ebonstone, right?

Haha. In a full set of gold armor and gold tools/weapons, and approximately 20 potion and 10 super duper potions, just over half a bar of health, I hoped to beat SKELEZOR but instead got absolutely curbstomped.
