Why not simply drop sand on them from above to fill them in? Hardly requires any work, compared to flooding.

Emptied a big lake down my shaft to hell, all it amounted to was 5 obsidian blocks on a pool of magma. Should a mine out some huge reservoir and fill it with water from various lakes, then build a shaft under it to hell and release the water?

So Blue got epically trolled by The Best Gamers and took the bait. The "review" of Terraria is somewhere between a parody, a purposeful misrepresentation of the game and an outright troll bait to the community and the devs. Someone, it's being said Blue, contacted Youtube and had them take the video down, although I'm not sure on what grounds. Blue closed his Facebook account he was getting harassed there and his deviantArt page, which was featured in the video showing some of his poetry.

They were playing the leak in the review, which is probably why it got pulled down. Stupid drama aside, Blue is getting a healthy dose of BS with his fame and monies and he doesn't seem to take it very well. I wonder if this is just what happens to an indie game that goes mega-hit so quickly, or if they seriously pissed some people off along the way.

yes, water have a tendency to loose quantity when moving so you either need a large body of it or to confine it in a controllable cistern for obsidian making.
Or head all the way to one side of the map and pour the ocean into hell.

I found that storing water and then dumping it seems to increase the amount of water.

Thanks to Blarg and Max, they helped me move my shit to a New Server where I will be building my Home.
They also came down the Dungeon and had some fun hacking away at Skeleis while I disassembled the dungeons' Spikes, books and lamps. I have not enough spikes, not enough books and way too little lights... (In dwarven terms, I have too much...)
