I'm unable to run right when I have shift held down, which makes cave diving rather difficult, also, if you hold shift down and accidentally mouse over stone, it instantly swaps to your pickaxe, which can be a bit annoying in piutch black.
There's also the fact that it uses any item from inside your inventory, rather than just your hotbar, so you can't even stash your tools to avoid that.

 It is kinda handy. You never need to have your hammer/axe/hamaxe in your hotbar because of this, and the E grapple.

Damnit I'm gonna kill all the hard mode bosses without building an arena for them no matter how ill advised an idea it is.

They're on floating islands. Well not on the islands themselves but they spawn at the same height Harpies do.

And I'm happy to see I wasn't the only one that immediately thought Falcor. Sorry Bastian but we need your friends soooouuullllllll.

The name "Falcor" still sounds strnge to me, since I always start thinking "Falco" instead.

I'm fairly sure that it might be intentional.

Anyway, wyvern hunting is one of the best things in hardmode. It's a shame you pretty much only need them for the Souls of Flight to get your wings.

It's also a shame that they keep spawning, sometimes immediately after you kill one, making pretty much any spaceships that are actually in space impossible.  :(

Would be nice if they put in some actually useful top tier magic so that specializing in magic actually makes sense. Even if it cost a lot to do I'd like to be able to reforge my mythical magic missile into a force bolt or somesuch similar to the phaseblade->phasesabre crafting

I would like something that makes melee a bit more viable.  Maybe a new armor set that had negatives like removing mana regen and halving ranged firerate to offset a really huge melee perk.

More viable... in what way? The only thing it's not really good at is taking out the hardmode bosses, right now. If you can rummage up some light discs, I imagine even that would be fairly doable.

A godly adamantine glaive, to say nothing of gungnir, two-three shots most of the hard mode enemies if you manage to double-tap with each swing. It'll drop a wyvern in 4-5 passes, usually. Melee's pretty effective.
