I made a hand in Blender. It took most of an hour, and still needs some work, mostly around the sides, but it rather closely resembles a hand.

Wow, nice!
Would make it my desktop background, but mine has sentimental value, it's been there so long.

Yeah, that's extremely cool.

On the topic of the stickman, thanks for the input, Miauw and Jack! I redid it, and although it does look a lot more like it's walking instead of galloping/hopping, I'm not sure if I like it more or less. As before, tips and observations are appreciated.

Also, it kind of looks like the hands are clapping with every stride, instead of going past each other.

It does look way more natural.

Yep. And I didn't see it as clapping until you made me look for it.

Good job, that's a huge improvement. :)
I can see the "clapping" look, but that's just stick figures being stick figures. Unless you make the "left" and "right" arms/legs end up in different positions with every step, it's going to look kinda weird like that.
Also, the clapping makes it look cartoony and goofy, which is funny.

You could always make the left or right side a dark gray to help tell which side it is.
That made sense to right?

Very nice! Although about walking and running, a neat thing i learned from Garfield of all things is that the faster you move, the more you tend (keyword "tend", as there are exceptions) to lean forwards. This is obviously more exaggerated in cartoons, but it adds a lot of swoosh to the image, since it otherwise looks like the moving person is walking with a literal stick up his/her/its arse. Either that, or do like Ed and have your upper body flail behind your legs while making a mad dash. :v

pew pew

Also if you notice a huge drop in doodle quality from me, it's because i've switched around my tablets and configured them so they have the same size to monitor ratio, which IN THEORY should make it less painful to switch around. This does, however, mean that i have to get used to this new setup, which has a higher sensitivity than before.

As I was reading this Ed was the first character that came to mind.

I have a hard time making raptors/dinosaur/whatever, so I decided to give another shot at making one. However, it's currently 5:30AM for me, so I can't go on, but here's my progress.

If you're wondering why the tail is cut off, I made this at the bottom right of the canvas, then move the whole thing to the middle before uploading. There wasn't enough room for the end of the tail at its original place.

To give this post a bit more substance, here's a couple other things I did a while back.

These are both for Space Funeral.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
I need to make this one a 4-tile because it's so small (it's not even worth looking at it's so gosh-darned tiny), but what it's meant to be is a large greenish eyeball emerging from the ground.

I guess its a Beholder, essentially, except no stalks and it has eyeballs in it's mouth as well.

Some people can do surprising landscapes with apparently haphazard brush strokes. I have attempted to learn this skill with random poking in monochrome, forgoing my usual heavy linework reliance or any sort of tutorial/photo reference/help.
