I've started adding details to the ships. I would redraw them if I had enough time... I wonder, did someone else do this? If so, could you share? I want some visual content modding :).

Oh Deon, recoloring and such on everything you get your hands on. :P

why would you want a vent on the outer hull?  ???
Do you mean the square vent? The original ship has a vent in the same place.

Tarran has the "Tarran Bug", a bug which causes the affected character to repeatedly hit teammates while dual-wielding instead of whatever the hell he is shooting at.

Hah managed to get a win with the type A Zoltan ship. During my travels I managed to get a crew teleporter and two Breach Bomb II's. The final fight turned into a cakewalk :p

Got up to the final boss. It wrecked my shit. Engi ship class A. I had two anti-shipping drones. A hull laser and an ion shooter. 1 level below max engine and shields. Max power. I was sitting on a shitload of scrap after I got the scrap arm yet could do nothing with it. If I managed o get some Zoltans I might've had a chance but not being able to use your scrap on anything is really annoying.

I played a few games yesterday but the game kept throwing me curve balls... I ragequit about 5 times or so...

Anyway, when the RNG is a little more compliant, I think a good strategy might be to have about 80 scrap to spare AT ALL TIMES. Then you can make sure to visit all the stores you find. A burst laser comes up? Buy it. Long-range scanners? Buy it. A non-standard crew? Buy it. Weapons pre-igniter? You should've had 120 scrap instead ;)

Just beat the game with the kestral (second win), and oh my god, mass burst lasers are so powerful (even though I only had 3, I imagine 4 would have been ridiculous).

This is how the final battle went for part 1: FOCUS ALL FIRE ON THE CAPTAIN *Pew-Pew*, he dies straight away, then I focus the shield, and take them out entirely in two barrages, another barrage beats that form.
Part 2: ACTIVATE ION BOMB, then Pew-Pewed them to death (amusingly killing like two more people when they were in the shield room).

Part three was kind of tough, fires everywhere and people just running around whopping on me (luckily I had doors 3, so even when they took it down a level they couldn't just run around as they felt like), especially since my crew was only 2 engis and 2 humans. But luckily I kept my weapons systems healthy (and they didn't really target my shields) and I took them down with ~40% health left, near dead crewmembers, a fires in the engine, and a half health door system+oxegyn system, I had just left the weapons room, so if it hadn't ended then they would have broken that as well.

Yeah, that's how I won once - by having tons of burst lasers. You have two ways to get them:
- The RNG is kind today and smiles down upon you.
- The RNG hates you and frowns down upon you, but instead of investing scrap into making your ship more survivable, you keep a lot of it around and visit every store you can get for burst lasers. The problem is generally you need upwards of 150 scrap for burst laser (about 70?), plus two energy (about 45) plus weapons systems (another 70 or more). That's 150 scrap you could've invested in actually surviving, and generally I don't survive :P

If I had a big magic stick, the one thing I'd fucking change is the ability to sell fuel, missiles and drone parts.

There is that ability, but only fairly rarely at stations.

Deon's redrawing/modding things that work nicely on their own still amuse me :P

Also, I just got some crystal stasis pod. What do I do with it?

DAMN IT!

I was using an Engi crusier with standard ion gun, 3 shield points, a Pegasus(double rockets for one) and 2 MarkI drones.
When I disovered that
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
fucks him up, I already had one hull point.

Well, let's do a new game.

There are random events where you can exchange the expendables for each or scrap but I want to sell at normal stores.
