...but it's not animal fur, it's fur from sentient xenos, so it's okay.

In the 31st millenium PETA expanded its mandate to cover all fur, all animals, not just Terran-based animal forms.

So even shaving an Ork is considered a crime against nature in their book, because the rights of sentient fungus have to be respected.

Um, Ork hair is actually another Ork subspecies that attaches itself to the bigger Ork.

But orks are sentient so it's not an crime. I mean, PETA is all right with wearing leather jackets made from newborn babies.

I'm curious as to how a tank would evolve. Would it climb out of the primordial ooze wiggling it's track-nubs, feeding on smaller jeeps before crawling onto the shore having evolved proper treds?

And in 40k... nobody. Hmm.

In seriousness though if fenrisians or CSM's wear pelts you can be pretty sure they came from something actively trying to kill them.

I can't find the art right now but I remember a lot of Planetary Governor/Imperial Nobles wear plenty of fur.

Some inquisitors probably do too. Pretty much anyone from a cold area or full of money. In case of both, they have more weight in fur than the rest of their body.
