UNNATURAL SELECTION
Congratulations [INSERT INMATE NUMBER HERE], you have been selected to take part in a BioGenesis combat test! This is an exciting opportunity to test out some of BioGenesis' new, cutting edge genetic modification systems, relieve the stress created by your incarceration, and even gain an all inclusive pardon! The rules for this test are extremely simple:
1. You will be provided with a BioGenesis personal Gene Modifier. Each Gene modifier is programmed to allow its user to alter their genome up to 10 full times. These alterations can be minor or all encompassing; change one gene or change them all! The only limit is that you may only do it 10 times before the Gene Modifier requires a recharge.

Anyway, on further inspection, the OP only says that Piecewise needs 6 people to START the party. So, there may be room or more players. Then again, the current waitlisting model would sustain the player count at whatever it starts with, so probably not.

In?You all start as human. As soon as you're in the arena, you can start modifying yourself however you want. Thats when you start getting parts to keep track of. I figured that was self-explanatory but I was clearly mistaken since about 60% of people came in already modifying themselves.

Well, two major things happen to you. First, your skin turns green and scaly and two massive nostrils open up on your chest. Second, both of your arms shrink into your body and then something new grows in their place. Two deep blue fleshy lumps with a crystalline consistency, both in the shape of human mouths, lips and teeth and all. These glands leak super cold fluid, like liquid oxygen. You have to be careful not to get any on you.

Your hair falls out and your follicles start releasing thick black smoke like miniture volcanos. Your whole body is covered in a layer of constantly buzzing wasp wings. Your organs are visible within, still working away in their cage of bone. Your arms shrink away and are replaced by perfectly conical horns that leak carcinogens. Your head is replaced with a cat leg. Still has your hair on it, weirdly. Your arms are replaced with vertical fanged mouths that extend down the length of your chest. These mouths have human arms instead of tongues. Your legs are replaced by heavy bone weights.
Of course this doesn't really matter because you replaced your head with a cat leg so you are dead. I'm very lenient in this game in terms of anatomy, but if you don't have a brain SOMEWHERE in your body, I'm gonna call that dead.

Well, after figuring out just how many possible genomes there are... I'm just going to use a random number generator.

Figure out what that new genome did.
Your head turns into a cluster of four sticky lion's tails that each end with a lizard's eye. They also each have a single dog ear. Because why not. Your lion tails are attached to a fish tail that replaces your neck. Of course that fishtail is in the shape of a featureless horsehead. Your legs turn into a single octopus tentacle that end in a bone dome. A reptillian fringe runs down the length of it and its suckers have been replaced with tiny orange organs shaped like horse legs. They leak some kind of gas constantly. Your arms are replaced with a single cat tail that ends in a bulbous organ that constantly spews flame. Its at about this point in the mutation process that the gas from your "leg" is ignited by the flame from your "arm" and you combust and explode at the same time.
So you are also dead.

Just a note, but from analyzing the turn I believe that changing the top left corner will alter your head and most likely kill you. fair warning to everyone.
Actually I would go even so far as to claim entire top line (henceforth known chromosome 1) will alter your head in some ways.

Your neck morphs into a huge spider head. The spider head looks perfectly spiderlike except for the mouth which takes the form of a dog or wolf muzzle. Your head returns to normal and then grows thick and bristly black hair, your teeth morph into long fangs and your bottom jaw splits into two mandibles. You also sprout two fluffy mothlike antennae. Your human abdomen returns, but with a long earthworm body sprouting out the back of it, like a tail. At the end of that wormy tail is a spider head. Your human chest returns, however your ribs burst out from your flesh and form sharpened claw like protrusions. A single large anter grows out of your chest. Your human arm returns, but with a spider head for the shoulder, like a paudron. Your fingers end in conical spikes that leak powerful mutagens. Your human legs return as well, but with a spider head on top of your knees. Your whole body is still coated in buzzing wasp wings.

Your whole body takes on a geometric shape. Your body becomes furry and flexible, with gray skin. Your head hairs turn into lots of tiny antlers which end in tiny laser emitters. Your neck turns into a thick gray mass of flesh that rotates constantly and throws out slimey, marble sized pieces of white material. These slimey balls burst like firecrackers when they land. Your chest turns into a giant lion's head with goat's eyes, in the vague shape of a human chest. The lion's tongue resembles a porcupine mass of barbs that occasionally fires off a barb. Your lower body is replaced by a vertical fanged mouth in the shape of a human abdomen with conical horns for teeth. A swarm of tiny flying creatures that look like boar tusks with fly wings seem to live inside this mouth. Your arms turn into rotting, distorted human mouths with tongues in the shape of human arms. The human-tongue arms end in giant eyeballs instead of hands. Your legs remain, but they have 3 fish scales, three fangs along the front of the shin and a tripod of elephant feet instead of normal feet. Your teeth, claws and any similar parts leak poison.
You walk over and tear off the head bone hook from OS's body. We'll assume you do this with your mouth since you have no arms.

FoU runs over to AH and starts trying to strangle him. However, despite the fact that AH is literally a fucking torso, FoU just cannot manage to get a good grip on his neck.
Of course none of this matters since both FoU and AH end up being lowered into lava a few seconds later because they didn't bother to get off the sinking tiles in the arena! ATH joins them because he walked over to OS's corpse and just sunk into the earth!

Your entire body is covered in triangle shaped, greenish tinted, lenses, like those out of a fly's eye. You can actually see through them too; its quite a trip. Your head turns into the head of a fish, a trout specifically, completely covered in human hair. Your neck returns to human but keeps the pair of mantis limbs. Your chest is replaced by a single large bone plate that seems to serve no purpose other than connecting your upper parts to your lower ones. Oh my big head!DH: You grow a second head. Albeit its actually a big mass of hair that just looks like a head. Both heads have poison gland saliva glands and feathers. You also grow a second neck, and feel like you can scream very loudly. You grow a second chest that is attached to the first like some sort of siamese twin, and a spiked bone halo grows out of their backs, connecting them with one giant spikey bone circle. You also have twin conjoined abdomens, with giant bone scythe blades growing out of their lateral hips. He has normal human arms, but he has 4 sets of boneless, sticky human legs. And your entire body is covered in fish scales.

NJW flies in and swoops down like a rocket powered wasp, trying to stab his proboscisis straight throught Harry. Harry sees the attack coming and rather than trying to run, he just injects himself once more with his gene modifier and then stands firm. At the last second, he side steps the flying stab and catches NJW in a bearhug, slamming him down into the ground and shoving the biojet exhaust away from himself. It is at this moment that his mutations kick in and his entire body is covered in stinging hairs. And each of these stinging hairs is coated in a layer of sticky black tar like material. The result being that Harry's bear hug virtually glues the two men together in a prickly, sticky embrace.
Did I develope superpowers? Try to do various things with my mind.[18] You focus really hard on figuring out what happened and end up getting pretty stressed while doing it. Just when you're about to give up, your left arm just falls off. Not even bleeding or anything. It just pops off. You move closer to the pit and then mutate. Your arms become about twice as long.

Lets see...All your limbs flip so that your elbows bend back, your knees bend forwards and so forth. You become absolutely fucking ripped; covered in thick heavy muscle. You also become totally covered in tan, armadillo like armor plates that are made out of tiny circular bone plates that resemble nipples. You keep your normal human head but how its covered in thin, hairlike feathers. It also has a pair of human arms instead of ears. You look like you have a Geodude for a head. You grow feathers on your weird neck, and your abdomen becomes a human head with a skull in the shape of a abdomen, with some toes instead of a mustache. Oh and it still has that horn. Your arms grow some feathers as well. Your legs become human arms, at least in shape. They grow to about 2.5x their original size and appear to be made out of feathered snake bodies with buffalo horn toe nails.
The center section of the room continues down until it suddenly drops away and reveals long metal spikes. HB and NJ both plumet down onto those spikes and die in a horrible, shishkabob fashion. The walls with their spinning saw blades continue to close in, crushing and slicing DH apart.

The Room begins to shift again! The walls revert to normal but all the dark sections are sinking!

I mean, I get the basic reasoning for why they happened (me (and my character as well, apparently) not noticing the changes to the map and me being too late for a turn), and I know that any annoyances are amplified tenfold by the sheer amount of DMing stuff that you have to do for several massive games, but still.
Oh, and if anyone needs a death-machine form, there's a genome for one at the end of this post. I don't really care much what you do with it; maybe it'll become the next death/poison cloud or something.

I am currently on loan, working in a clinic out of state. I work 7am-5pm, 4 days a week. On the weekday I have off, I take my dad to chemo because he has late stage recurrent pancreatic cancer. When I'm home, I often have to take care of or do chores or errands for my dad. This means that I am pretty cramped for time right now. Posts will continue as often as I can, which will probably be 3-4 times a week I think. I'm just letting everyone know because my posting schedule is gonna be pretty erratic and there may be times when days could go past without a post. Don't worry, I'm not giving up on these games or getting tired of doing them, I'm just busy.
Oh and because I may start posts and have to get up and leave them half finished to come back and finish them later, I'm going to post whenever I start a turn. Your head grows to double size (actually every part of you except your arms double in size), grows poison glands, gains laser vision and gets covered in long human hair. Your neck becomes a single large fish scale, in the vague shape of a human neck, complete with exposed arteries. It rotates slowly and throws off high pitched squeals. Your chest becomes a purplish lump of flesh shaped like a bunch of monkey feet that are piled together into the shape of a human chest. A big spiked bone halo with a single rotating flagella passing through it like thread through the eye of a needle grows on your back. Your abdomen takes the form of a giant bone club or weight, that is covered in tiny holes From these holes what looks like tiny spores drift out in clouds. The club is ridged with razor sharp protuberences and covered in a fur of tiny, mouse sized human arms. Your arms triple in number, 3 on each side, and take on a sort of tiger leg human arm hybrid form. All 6 are covered in boney armadillo like armor plates. Your legs remain human in shape but become soft, pink and sticky, ending in a formless human head instead of a foot.

Oh and then your entire body gets crushed and reshaped to resemble a human chest.

Your legs become Giant smoky laser emitters that are kind of vaguely shaped like lion heads. Your whole body becomes covered in fish scales and massively muscled.
Well that crystal wasp laser thing doesn't so much fire out as just burns and melts things touching the crystal stinger. [12+4] Your laser legs are quite powerful. Of course the arena is indestructable so its hard to tell how powerful.
DM manages to kill Failbird, who puts up no fight. However, killing Failbird means walking into the flashing lights and unfortunately his action doesn't say to walk back out or to stay away from them at all. A giant laser fires out of the wall, following the path of the warning lights, and vaporizes DM.
Toaster is our only bet winner.

Was sort of hoping for a response on my earlier question. Sorry if I'm causing you too much trouble. This was the part that confused me, because I thought I had changed my chest too. Which is which? If it really is both, that really throws me for a loop genome wise.I think the first is your chest. Your head is a human head, but with a discoball style arrangements of laser emitters instead of hair. Normal human neck. Chest become like human flagella, longer, wigglier, and boneless. Your abdomen has a fur of tiny arms but is otherwise human. You have normal human arms and legs. Except there are 3 of each, making for 6 arms and 6 legs total.
As per your description, I forget, but it doesn't matter now because this is your new one, and all the old stuff is now gone.
Whoops, didn't realize I was in.Your hair becomes far thinner than before. Almost invisibly so, and whips around at high speeds, shattering each time until all thats left is a constantly twitching bowl cut. And your head becomes covered in a thin, fragile, white shell. Double sized lion head with laser eyes and wasp stinger teeth. Neck to buffalo horn in a sort of round flipperish form, with goat eyes, dog ears, and slow leaking gas. Human chest with buffalo horn bone, a single large eye protected by a crystalline plate in the chest, and poison gland armpit sweat glands. Abdomen becomes a human head with smoking mouth and nostrils and huge bulbous laser eyes. Your arms become giant hydrogen bladders with monkey tails. Your legs turn into giant cat legs covered in porcupine quills, with buffalo horn claws. You have huge muscles and a big armadillo shell.
You can float. You can float really good actually. Though stay away from the ceiling; it will kill you. But the ceiling is 100 feet up so you're probably fine.

Your head is the same, your neck a human neck with a vertical fanged mouth in , like toothy ribs jutting out from an exposed, canyonous windpipe. Chest is much the same, gashed open with rib fangs and exposed inner organs, heart pumping away, fluttering like a wet sack with a starling trapped inside. A huge human ear has grown up and out of your back, like a single weird wing, malformed and twisted. Your abdomen continues that cavernous mouth, peaks of your pelvic bones peeking through the flesh-gums of that fangy maw. A huge wasp stinger protrudes from the small of your back with an equally huge poison sack attached to it. It bobs slightly, the venom in it sloshing. Each arm is a tendril, very long and thin, ending in a bone blade about a foot long. They twitch continously, eagerly, flowing and flopping. Your legs, each a good 4 or 5 feet long are bone blades. Your entire body is long, but each stretched limb and part is packed with dense and powerful muscle, and a thick coating of armadillo armor plates.

AO and PE, in a very anime-eqsue scene, both fire lasers at each other. Their lasers clash in mid-air in that particularly unrealistic way that people love and, after a few moments of DBZ style struggling AO's more concentrated beam wins out. The blast blows off PE's remaining left arms. Thus advantaged, AO moves in for the kill. He lashes out with his tendrils but instead of getting a good stranglehold, the two merely end up close together, tangled in AO's limbs.

You float closer to the center of the remaining land but stay high up, out of range of any attacks...at least any grabs.
Your head becomes an elephant head. That head has human hair on it that ends in tiny little elephant heads that have sloth claws for tusks. Your neck swells into a massive hydrogen gas bladder covered in monkey tails. Your chest becomes that of a massive bear, made even more massive by the fact that it seems to be unnaturally long. Its hair is not normal bear hair, instead it is sharp and stinging, with a coating of tar on the skin. Your abdomen is that of a whale, not as massive as a normal whale but still very big, with a single huge bioject sprouting out the back. it also has a single bull horn on its side for...some reason. You have normal human arms and then massive praying mantis limbs just above them, sprouting from the same shoulder. Your leg is a normal leg, but with a mane around the ankle, two huge nostrils in the knee and skittering centipede legs running down the side of the limb. Neither Aoshi or Person are really bringing their"A" game here. In fact I'd say they're basically just flailing wildly. But their flailing has a fair amount of deadly weaponry behind it so thats enough. Despite his flagella body offering some increased dodging potential for his head, Person is still decapitated by a blast from Aoshi's laser-mouth.
You have an elephant head, with hair that ends in tiny elephant heads that toot lasers. Albeit lasers so tiny that they're basically worthless. Your neck is a giant gas bladder with monkey tails. Your abdomen loses the horn and gains a random gas bladder. Your human arms are replaced with bone hooks, but the mantis arms remain. You pull a SY, float back away from melee range and try to laser AO. Your lasers are...well pretty weak really. Your best ones are the whale heads.

Your head is a human mouth with teeth made of hairy antlers. Your neck is a normal human neck, but with a single buffalo horn. Your chest is a buffalo horn that goes from neck to abdomen, but there is also a human chest in there. A human chest shaped like a big old dick. Congrats. You finally found it. Your abdomen is human, but with a plague gland just growing out of it. Your arms are strange things: they're full of flickering blue light and seem to flash out of existence for a tiny fraction of a second every now and again. They're shaped like human arms but aren't actually, they're just soft and unresponsive organs. They also seem to be leaking some sort of extremely pestilent substance. Your legs remain, but long bone spears sprout beside them, such that you now have to walk on their tips, like stilts. Your entire body is covered in small purple sores that leak pus, out of your back an enormous, tree-like mushroom sprouts, doubling you over with its weight, and your body becomes covered in feathers and your bones become fragile and hollow. Your head becomes a frankly massive elphant head with sloth claw tusks and the ability to toot a relatively weak laser. The head is so big that its extremely awkward to move. Your neck becomes a fairly large gas bladder with two monkey tails. It also has another elephant head growing out of it, which can toot lasers. Your chest is a total copy of your head, while your abdomen remains unchanged. Your arms and legs are identical elephant heads that toot lasers and have big pulsating infection glands on them. You lose your fish scales. Your heads are so fucking massive and heavy at this point that your bladders can't raise them.

It is a long tail, the center of which has a human shaped armadillo shell on it and the end of which is tipped with a cat eye. Your abdomen is a crab claw, with the big part shaped like a human abdomen. Your arms are hyena limbs twisted to look like human arms, and necrotic. They end in soft, fungal bird beaks. Your legs are human legs, but they are rounded and pushing spherical in their shape, covered in green scales and pointed white teeth. A little circle of pointy bone sprouts from your knee and each spike on it looks vaguely phallic. Your body becomes covered in hair and 5 random claws about a foot long sprount out at complete random on your body. A huge beetle shell covers your shoulders and back, stretching down like a cape over the back of your legs. Everything takes on a harsh, geometric shape and you ooze ink from every remaining pore.
Sy attempts to laser Whisperling. He has excessively powerful lasers gaining him a +8 if only because he doesn't have much of a set up to aim them. Whisperling, on the other hand, is a giant mass of elephant heads that can barely move so he's not getting any bonus.

AO wants to kill his attacker, but his attacker is dead.
NJW and XAN get into a mutal fight. NJW is basically a fat, diseased tree on stilts. Worse yet he's got fragile bones. But he's also burning hot. Xan...is a big bobble headed rayman mess with no real weapons, but he does have a good shell. I'm gonna give NJW a +5 because being burning hot in a melee battle is a big advantage, and give xan a +2 to represent the shielding of his shell.

NJW comes over and belly flops onto xan, who immediately curls up and hides under his shell, protecting himself from the attack but ending up in a disadvantageous position. He also manages to get completely coated in pestilant pus and slime.

Your legs double in length but also become soft, pink, sticky and meaty. They still function, but not quite as well. Well, Sy died. So the arena changes. The ball cage is spinning so horrendously fast that every single person is pinned to it. If it goes much faster, many of the people will die from the g-forces.

It has some centipede leg like growths on the side that end in tiny, useless laser pods. You keep the normal arms and legs, but ink glands sprout from the legs. Ok so...
Your head is basically a mass of super heated something in the shape of a head that is very ornate in design. It also has stabbing probosci hair. Your neck is another head, but also a neck and a stabbing proboscis that is super hot. The neck part isn't super hot so it catches fire. Similar effects happen to your chest, your arms and legs (not that they really are arms and legs). Basically, before your overall mutations can take hold, you literally burn yourself up into a few pieces.
You are dead.
And basically no one can do anything this turn because the force of this spinning cage is enough to murder. This was basically a test to see if you could become good enough to survive the spin.

((This sounds like a thing I could do, albeit using Scratch rather than actual code. Could probably even work out a way for you to import your existing list without doing a bunch of copy/pasting, if you showed me how you're formatting it.
I obviously don't know all the system's ins and outs, but if you have any specifications beyond "XY corresponds to ______," tell me and I can do my best to implement them.
Willing to forfeit playing rights if secrets will get you a better program, but I'd rather be able to re-enter at some point, if I so choose.))

Just gonna say it: Just spamming genomes like this probably won't get you much.
Your head is in the shape of a snake's body; not the tail or head, just the body. It is made from the shiny translucent material of dragon fly wings and small furry nodules with strings of silk trailing after them. Your neck is the horn of a rhino beetle, made of sharp insectoid chitin and studded with flairing and twitching nostrils that all have fangs protruding out of within them. It is also covered in those furry silk producing things. Your chest glows internally and is Also a rhino beetle horn made of sharp chitin, this time with a mix of horse hoof, and furry silk glands. Your abdomen is a horse hoof in shape, but white and made of wriggling semi-flesh. It has a deformed tip in the shape of a baboon head, mid screech. The strange thing is densly muscled, if what drives it can be called muscle. The arm, for there is only one growth, is huge and deformed, twisted and bloated. It is a gland, producing smoke constantly. It is shaped like a mouth and its every edge is as sharp and keen as a razor, though only made of soft flesh so unsuited to any actual task of cutting. Your legs are tiny bone things...like a flat plate with a spikey donut atop it and then a rounded dome atop that. Your whole body is covered in long yellow hair, twisted and horribly deformed, releasing a constant haze of low energy laser light, Twisted backwards and seemingly impaled on a giant bone spike.
Particularly here where the only head you have is so buried and secondary I'm gonna call it not a head and just have you die.

You have a human neck with a vertical fanged mouth that has a laser and smoke emitting gland in it instead of a tongue. Your chest is normal, but with a single crystalline plate on the sternum. The abdomen is normal, but with an organic shield in front and wasp stinger in the back. Arm is a long bone blade ended tendril that floats in air. The blade looks like a mouth. Legs are long, bone blades that end in a curved bone hook. Overall you are very tall, have titanic muscle and are covered in a thick armadillo shell skin.

Your neck is a boney dome wiht a mass of purplish flesh inside it and leaking molten skin around it. The thing is in a roughly tubular shape. Your chest is normal, but has thousands of tiny bony wasp wings instead of hairs. Your abdomen is a fanged beak in the shape of an abdomen It has a patch of human head hair on it . Your arms are giant dicks but in the shape of some sort of human arm/leg hybrid limb, with a cat eye tip and nobby buffalo horn bits. Your legs are iridescent, massively musclar, arms made of human hair. They are so muscular they are vaguely pyramidal in shape. You are so fucking musclar in general its crazy. Like...you look more like a knobby tumor than a man. You're covered in hair and your muscles are outlined by hydrogen sacks.

The other two who showed up just stand around, mutating.

((On the contrary, genome spammers such as CA provided the backbone of my gene list. It was foolish of Xan to not have a head, since that requirement has been demonstrated many times already, but slow and careful mutation is much less likely to get you powerful genes than genome spamming. Though it does seem to avoid gaining instability genes.))

Oh and it has a standard amount of human hair on it, like someone scalped a person and glued it to the thing you call a neck. You have a chest made of black-silver flesh that emits constant laser beams that are each about the thickness of a human hair. It too is ringed with a spikey bone ring, but the spikes are human canine teeth. Your abdomen is a fanged beak in the rough shape of a human abdomen. It "breathes" out tiny, thin laser beams. Arms are giant human dicks made of dragon fly wing flesh, with little nubby fingers made of cat eyes with buffalo horn finger nails. Legs are iridescent, super muscular, made of hair, float away from the body and are pyramidal in shape. Our abdomen is human, but has 3 scorpian stingers growing of its rear. Your arms, of which you have 3 on either side, are every long snake bodies that end in large, black biometal katanas. I'd be fine with keeping it going but really this was just a test anyways. I've got the info I need. This is the sort of system I would need to tweak to make work well in anyhthing more than just "How can I make myself neat" mode.Doh'!
