Horse ambush?!?

The heck?



The "An ambush! Curse them!" message displayed. I'm at war with the Gobbos and the Elves, but there's noone riding the horses... there's just a squadron of horses and unicorns ambushing me...

Is this supposed to happen? What caused it?

EDIT:

Oops, I guess there were elves on the horses and unicorns. They should've shown up when I looKed at them...

The elves were still stealthed, so you couldn't see them even through the loo'k' command.  The horses, on the other hand...

And I thought all those Elves were going to mean Fun... Guess I'll just trade their crap to the humans...
