Methinks he's a demon. They'll occasionally join human civilizations as deities, so getting one as a diplomat would be possible.

Meh, he's a jackal or something twisted into humanoid form.

I was honestly, Seriously thinking you were talking about the giant toad at first.
As for my suggestion on what to do with it.
!!SCIENCE!!
Trap him in a room and see if he can last longer then usual. Being a deity might make shit stronger?
Really, use it as an excuse to be as cruel as possible. Just like normal science!

Thought he meant the horse, because it was highlighted. :P

I thought he actually meant a diety, not a deity.

I always thought diety was something related to or causing us to think of diets.

Is there any way of checking his kill count? If something is a diety it should have some important kills imo.

And low calories?

Anyway, I think you should trap him, not everyday you get to trap some deity in your fortress. Make him a temple or something.

Only in DF would one entrap a deity in his own temple.

There's safe. Then there's unsafe. And then there's the average dwarf fort, which remains unrated because the OSHA inspector flatly refused to go anywhere within a dozen miles of the place.

I built a temple for him, put some magma in it, made my mayor walk in there (and the diety followed trying to arrange a meeting).. made the mayor walk out and locked the door.

The diety ran around for a bit, and I thought I should make him bleed a bit for funzies, so I set off one of the pre-installed spikes in their and it got his leg, making blood gush out.. little did I know I accidentally set it to repeat and it killed him.. :(

So I told my dwarves to go get the body and refuse the thing, so he went, picked it up, got 3 steps, bled to death... then it happened again.. again.. again.. until I had 2 dwarves left, (Being AFK is a bitch), He had deadly blood fml.
