You know, I can actually understand Washington having a spot there. George Washington: He'll kill you in your sleep. On Christmas.

Dat ninja.
I'm inclined to believe this, mostly because holy fuck he had bullet holes in his uniform and had his horse shot from under him and he didn't have a scratch.

Well, I say he had posted something, but I had no idea it was to the same video until I had already posted.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
if you followed the conversation you'd see that max wasn't rolling his own personal definition of reincarnation, he was replying to devling's, pointing out that his description of reincarnation matches the description of genetic hereditarity.

i agree that reincarnation without preserved memories isn't really reincarnation any more than passing down genes to your children is. on the other hand, after my father passed away, i did find some comfort in the notion that some part of his mind still lives inside mine, to the point that i'm reconsidering my decision to not have children so that i and he can keep living in a way. it does help that he and i had a lot in common in both looks and personality(minus baldness, thanks mom!), and even shared our first name

Oh hey, people were talking to me?
Yea, what Askot said. I asked for a definition, not gave my own. If anybody wants to give another, I can play on that field too!

The water [in the blue lagoon] isn't actually blue, the chemicals in it just mostly reflect blue light.

This kind of threw me for a bit since they pretty much said that the water isn't blue, because it is blue.

It's technically accurate (matter isn't colored, it absorbs certain wavelengths of visible light), but depending on the context it could just be someone being obnoxiously specific.

Isn't absorbing certain wavelengths of visible light the definition of being colored?

No, they said the WATER isn't blue. As in the H2O. The chemicals are blue, though.

Still a bit misleading, though.
