Are you really so shallow that you need to have the most posts for the sake of having the most? I'm sorry to speak so frankly, but what is the point of posting this much, besides inflating your ego?

..No.  I joke about it sometimes, but I don't do that intentionally.  Maybe I spend a bit too much time on here, but it's not about the number of posts I make.  It never has been. 
(Okay, maybe this type of thread is the kind of thread where I post for posting's sake.  I'll try to tone it down a bit.  But seriously, it's not about postcount.)

I browse via Unread Replies, and I tend to refresh that pretty quickly, so I tend to come across new posts really quite quickly.

I think that's what brings my number of posts in these sorts of threads really high.
