Each turn you may do one of a few things:
Walk in a direction (north, south, east, west, and the ones in between)
Run in a direction (same as walking, but double speed. Also takes one stamina per turn)
Attack (I will roll a die to see how much damage is done, a 0 is possible)
Travel in a direction (if on the world map, i.e. not in a battle)
Pick up an item (such as a weapon)
Forage for food (on the world map)
Hunt for food (on the world map)

There are also "sponsors". Basically, anyone on the waitlist or in the audience (not playing)
can send a small item from time to time, to help out their favorite contestant!

Sponsor Items:
Knife: 5 points
Food: 2 points per Hunger point.
Water: 2 points per Thirst point.
MedPack: 10 points per Health point

Sponsors recieve 1 point per turn.

Weapons and their damage, reach and stamina cost:
Battle-axe: 0-10, 2 stamina per strike. Reach 1 tile.
Bow: 0-4, 1 stamina per shot. Reach 10 tiles.
Sword: 0-8, 1 stamina per strike. Reach 1 tile.
Spear: 0-6, 1 stamina per strike. Reach 2 tiles.

Players have a few stats:
Health: 10/10 (HP)
Stamina: 5/5 (ST)
Hunger: 30/30 (HG)
Thirst: 30/30 (TH)

Hunger and Thirst go down 1 per turn, when empty, you starve/dehydrate. To find food you can either forage or hunt,
foraging rolls 0-5, hunting rolls 0-10. However, hunting can only be done with a bow and arrows. I will
roll 0-10 to see how many arrows you use. If you roll a 0 on either hunting or foraging, bad things will happen.
Thirst can only be replenished at rivers or inland lakes, as saltwater is undrinkable.

Health goes down by taking damage. Stamina goes down by 1 every turn that you run, and every turn that you attack.

Players can also choose a skill:
Speed: When running, speed triples rather than doubles.
Endurance: Adds 3 to your Stamina, making it 8.
Strength: Adds 1 to Battle-axe rolls.
Archery: Adds 1 to Bow rolls.
Swordsmanship: Adds 1 to Sword rolls.
Spearmanship: Adds 1 to Spear rolls.
Survival: Adds 1 to Hunting and Foraging rolls.

Not to shit on your fairly amazing ASCII art, but maybe (just maybe?) you should try out REXPaint or ASCIIdraw?
Seems like it would be less pain to manage, would make it easier for people to look at the maps + color support.

Frankly, I didn't know such things existed. Perhaps I will try it for the next ASCII Games. I found two ASCIIDraw programs, one which just let me draw characters, and another one that seemed more like what you are talking about. However, I don't know how to use the second one, so if I do use one of them, It will probably be the first one.

Anyway, I will update the OP once I get some more players. I honestly have no clue why you would want to be a sponsor, rather than a contestant.
